The good thing about MB is that once they release the vehicle off your possession you have no liability and are not responisble for any missed payments. I just transferred my '08 E350 and know the whole process only too well.

jtill I spoke with MB at lunch today once new contract is signed all responsibilities are on the new owner to make payments which is why I am comfortable doing this. If I remained on the lease I would not be handing the car over to anyone.

I have a window until my next payment is due to find someone to take over the lease or else I sit on it until Oct 1st. Which isnt the end of the world but I am itching for a new daily driver.

I posted mine on swapalease for a fee (there probably are some free websites) and also gave a good cash incentive. It depends on how badly and how soon you need to get rid of the car. For me having just bought a 911C4S meant the MB E350 (which was leased until Feb2010) had to go. Within a week boom had a buyer on swapalease. Although you have a desirable model of the MB, time is somewhat of the essence for you. May be you should consider offering a cash incentive and/or picking up the tab for the lease transfer fee. That's just my recommendation but as I mentioned above my siutaion was different then yours. My car also only had 850 miles/month for the remaining period of the lease.

w00t I hear ya brother on giving a incentive and I would consider picking up the tab for transfer fee if I found a serious buyer. If it doesn't work then no worries I will just have to wait 6 months before something shinier is in the garage.
