joshd is infamous around these parts

Year: 2006
Make: BMW
Model: M5
Price: $41000
Mileage: 51000
Color: Silver
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): VA
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

Christmas bump! M5 makes a great present for the power junkie in all of us! I'm willing to split the cost of a decent aftermarket warranty with the new owner or deduct said amount from the purchase price ...

This vehicle is out of the warranty period, and I believe that I have priced it fairly taking that into account as well as the mileage, condition, and extras.

You should consider extending the BMW warranty and maintenance instead of dropping your price. Also may help to sell the car faster.

Have your posted your car over at the bmw m5 forum too?

That budget may need from $20-40k extra...

To the best of my knowledge, these options are no longer available once the car is out of the warranty and maintenance period. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I did try to extend my warranty with BMW before it expired and they quoted me around $8K for the pleasure. I offered $3500. The negotiations broke down immediately thereafter ...

I know ... I'm actually looking for a higher mileage non-garage-queen example since I will daily drive it for the most part but they are hard to find. Let me know if you have any leads

I have not aggressively marketed the car yet. I posted here first because it's such an active marketplace for high end cars plus I'm dreaming that someone with a clean 996tt will want to trade ;-)

Thank you Sir.

Cheers and Happy upcoming New Years to all (at least to those on the Gregorian calendar)!

It used to be you had to extend prior to expiration of the warranty and maintenance.

Now they can be extended after expiration but subject to a certain mileage limit at time of extending, however, there's surcharge in pricing to do so after expiration.
