2008 GT3 cup for sale, like new
Year: 2008
Make: Porsche
Model: 911
Price: $126000
Mileage: 50
Color: White / orange
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CT
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
I have one too many '08 GT3 cup cars, and too little garage space. I have not raced this car for over a year - it's too nice, so I have been racing the '08 ex-Grand Am car.
I am the original owner and nobody else has ever raced it. Never bent, no repairs to chassis or fenders. LF fender and front bumper were replaced (soft tire wall hit in 2nd to last race). Full history and many pictures are on my website. Has several race wins, some class and overall PCA track records, and was always very competitive with a very careful, cautious driver.
Fresh Copans transmission.
It cost me about $170k delivered, with 2 sets of rims and unlocked/expanded PRO Motec. Has removable door windows, SCCA legal safety items (windshield clips, rear window strap, side net). Wired for Motorola radios and cool suit.
Fresh orange front, rear, and lower sides last summer, one race after the orange was added.
If I can't get $129K (now $126K) I'll put it on display in my music room. There are cheaper 997 cup cars for sale out there but I don't think any are quite this clean, why not get the best?
See my website for more info and history of every time it was driven.

Yes the 50 miles is really about 50 race hours. Engine is just getting loosened up and good for another 50 race hours.
I got a trade offer for a used 2011 GT3 RS but I have enough toys, down to $126K can bring to Sebring 48 hours PCA race!

I heard that Porsche Motorsports NA has a special now to rebuild them to 2010-2011 3.8 450hP specs for only about $15K. Only on the '08 and '09 engines as we have the new style intake, earlier cups are much more expensive to upgrade.
I may do that upgrade on my ex-Grand Am GT3 cup after I put some more hours on it and get it dialed in with new Cup S bodywork.

Hard to believe, isn't it?!? They usually rake us over the coals pretty good. There are also several private companies rebuilding GT3 cup engines but the seal that Porsche puts on is nice, as everyone knows what's inside the engine once they are sealed (can be proven legal with just a scan of the transponder on the seals).
Current engine is sealed as it was built in Germany (never rebuilt) - they just don't get any better than when they are original.

My car has 2 sets of rims for $125K now. Wide body can't run in GTC4 which is a great class, lots of cars to run with. Or if you don't run PCA you could flare it, I just did that with my Grand Am GT3 cup to run RSR rubber
Good luck!

I wanna a cup car to run PCA and a few other deals. You got my interest up on the motor change to 3.8 by PCNA. I would think the performance would be even better with that move. Is there any way to post more pics of the car? Or email them to me? chuckccole at aol dot com

With the 3.8 upgrade (2010 specs) the car would be a ROCKET with 30 more HP.
There are a lot of pictures and history of every time the car hit the track on my website.
Click on the race stories in '08 and '09 for pictures of the car at those races.
