Thanks for taking a look at my Porsche 996 Coupe ad.
This car is wearing its original Ocean Blue Metallic paint; it has never been touched up or repainted. It came standard with the full Leather-Power seats. I have the original window sticker for this car, priced at $70,526.00. I am the second owner, and bought it 4 years ago. The previous one owner, prior to myself used this car for a highway commute car. In 2006 shortly before my purchase the original owner had the complete engine assembly replaced at Carlsen Porsche dealership with a brand new upgraded 3.4 liter engine and complete clutch assembly @ 111,620 miles in 2006. If you are aware of some of the problems that plagued early 996 motors you already know that having the original 1999 motor replaced with an NEW upgraded 3.4 liter motor with all the recent updates is the only way to go for peace of mind knowing you will not have motor issues. This engine package/clutch/flywheel has 27,180 miles since brand new and runs great. This car now has a total of 139,XXX on the total car since new. This car was always maintained through Carlsen Porsche in Palo Alto and Menlo Park. This car runs strong. This is my 6th Porsche and after many different models this is the fastest/strongest/tightest handling Porsche I’ve ever owned.
While there was little to add to a machine such as this when I purchased it, I added all new Bilstein shock assemblies ($3,500.00 installed), PSS9’s and H&R sway-bars ($700.00) and control arms to give this car a solid race-derived ride, while this totally adjustable suspension package was installed by the famous SharkWorks in Fremont (best independent service shop for water-cooled Porsche’s in the Bay Area), it was also lowered to European standards by them. I also added FabSpeed stainless muffler assemblies ($700.00), totally street legal and do not affect the EPA standards, they give the car a little extra in performance and sound. (OEM mufflers included). I also added a set of Porsche 18” 2-piece modular wheels off of a Carrera C4S ($2,000.00 “used”). They give the car an excellent stance and included a new set of Tires ($1,750.00) with less than 5k miles since new (original 17” wheels and great tires also included). I added a new Alpine Stereo with (I-Pod) connection and a new power amplifier and (6) new Boston Acoustic speakers ($700.00). I installed a short-throw shifting assembly ($200.00) to add to the race-car feeling of driving it. New Porsche OEM car cover with bag ($125.00)
This car has had over $20,000.00 invested in it in the last 27k miles!!!!
As stated this car has never been hit (in an accident) and the paint still shines quite well, it does have a couple of slight door dings and rock chips on the nose from being freeway driven. Yet has always been garaged this has always been a non-smokers car with original grey leather interior, showing slight wear on the driver’s side. I have many records from the original owner, including the new motor installation.
Bottom-line, is that this car is a great daily driver, or excellent car for weekend excursions. I recently drove it to Las Vegas, and the car netted me over 26mpg, the power of this motor is flawless. I’ve changed the oil 2 times with recommended Mobil 1 in 15k miles, far more often than the OEM recommends.
I do not use this car enough (I’ve driven it <16k miles total in 4 years) and my priorities have changed. Please understand; in no way am I desperate to sell and will I not entertain any low offers, donation suggestions nor will I ship it to Nigeria.
I do not care what the KKB indicates an average car with this mileage should sell for; I know what it is worth. So if you are looking for a solid high-performance sports car with excellent manners this may be the car.
But kindly be serious or kindly look somewhere else.
Priced very fairly at $16,000.00 with the spare set of wheels/tires/mufflers & K&N cold Air-Box assembly.
Having the car detailed and waxed next week and will post pictures then
Pink-slip in hand.
Thank you, Mark

I regularly am that direction, so checking it out would be fairly straightforward, then its just shipping it. With these cars, there are deals to be had, but you have to be careful, also, when there is a good deal (as this one appears), then you have to just go for it.
My CS is looking like it is going to sell, guy is flying down on Friday, I will be in touch if not sold before then.
