VEHICLE HISTORY:
I'm a 59 year old retired Porsche dealer, and it's time to sell my favorite automotive playtoy. I acquired this Roush powered Backdraft Roadster on 10/27/2007 with 1,010 miles. This Cobra was traded to me towards a brand new Porsche 997 by the original owner, and I have retained the car ever since that time. The car was originally sold by Jay at Vintage Motorsports in Middletown, Connecticut & was completed on 5/12/2006. I have the complete build history and all documentation including 90 pages of laminated invoices and build pictures. This Cobra has always been serviced by factory trained Porsche technicians and been lovingly cared for and hand washed and hand waxed on a regular basis.
I have copies of all previous registration & title documents. This Cobra was originally titled in Florida as a 1965 Roaster. It is currently titled in Kansas as a 2005 Special Manufacture vehicle (the rolling chassis was invoiced to Vintage Motorsports on 11/11/2005 per the MSO). I still have a laminated copy of the original MSO. The MSO states it is a 1965 vehicle...and thus many States will allow it to be titled as a antique 1965 vehicle. (THE TITLE IS FREE & CLEAR WITH NO LIENS)

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT I HAVE INSTALLED:
1). The lips on the 17" alloys are hard to keep polished all the time. My solution was to ship the wheels to a wheel specialist in California. I had the wheels chrome plated...but the centers were refinished (utilizing a special process) in the original grey paint...so now the Cobra is equipped with chrome wheel lips...with original Halibrand style grey centers. The total cost of this project was more than $3,000...but the wheels now are always in show condition!
2). Brand new knockoff spinners were installed when the wheels were upgraded.
3). Akebono ceramic brakes pads were fitted for better brake feel...with no squeaks...and very low dust for clean alloy wheels...
4). Ford Motorsport Chrome Valve Covers...
5). Moto-Lite style classic wood steering wheel...
6). Proper Cobra 427SC style shifter...with new shift ****...
7). The fixed passenger seat was removed...and adjustable seat tracks were installed...this cost more than $500 to accomplish...
8). Per Jay at Vintage Motorsports recommendations...an improved turn signal assembly was installed...
9). To give the interior a more authentic look...new Lucas toggle switches were installed...5 hour job to modify the dash to accept the switches...but the results were worth it!
10). The factory ignition switch was upgraded with a new heavy duty ignition switch assembly...
11). Upgraded Polished thermostat housing & new thermostat.
12). Hella Halogen headlights for safer night time driving...
13). Amber rear turn signal lenses for an extra margin of safety...
14). Super bright LED cluster brake bulbs...again for an extra margin of safety...
15). Upgraded rear license tag holder...
16). OPTIMA RedTop High Performance Leak-Proof Battery...

Jim...I checked...no problem titling it as 1965 in Illinois...in Florida...where it was originally titled...it was titled as a 1965 Roadster...but every state has different registration laws...
