Jay9722 is infamous around these parts

Year: 2011
Make: Porsche
Model: Boxster
Price: $57000
Mileage: 8500
Color: White
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): VA
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

It was a 2011, nicely equipped, 24k miles for 79k. I only stopped to check it out because it was white and had the carbon aero package. I don't know why they put bright chrome wheels on a car like that...looked cheap.

Not surprised

They don't appraise sports car well from my experience.

If you did decide to do it for 47k...I'll fly out and stop you lol and have you sell it to me instead

Zr1 is an amazing car...but yeah the chrome really makes it disgusting

Not bad for an '11 but their trade in offer was ridiculous. They'd put it on the lot for >$60K the next day or auction for at least $52K. Wait on a private party sale. I think you're priced right, just hard to sell a Spyder this time of year. GLWS.

Gee thanks...but I will hold on to this car for a loooong time before I sell for 47k. Like I said, I had them appraise just on a whim, not expecting a serious offer. Porsche of Tysons Corner in VA offered me 56k sight unseen so if I really need to sell I can take it there.

Have you posted in the Rennlist 987 section ? Always seems to be someone looking for a Spyder. As someone else has said this is a niche car and the lack of Carbon fibre buckets take away from it's desirability to some degree.

Damn...I keep getting offers of 50k. Have they really dropped that much?

Only if you accept the offer. Otherwise, no. Lots of dreamers and deal seekers. Filter out the noise and wait for a real buyer. Also, might want to consider consignment. Better visibility and don't have to deal w/tire kickers. They can also flip the cash from the sale to a new car purchase to avoid the tax liability - that's as much as $4,400 on $55K sale. The consignee should be able to work w/you regardless of where you source the new car. Again, GL.

Hey Jay,

I bought your car from Porsche of Tysons. I like what you did with the Spyder decals. It looks great.

Congrats! It's a great car, super clean, no issues. I still have the black with white piping custom floormats and the Porsche cover for it if you want to buy them. I have them listed on here. Enjoy the car...I miss her already.
