I feel like these cars are really going to hold their value... don't seem to have depreciated almost any

They will come down a little over time, but this car punches above its weight class, is guaranteed limited production, and we won't see a genuine replacement in the USA for up to two years.

I don't look at automobiles as investments but this is one of the current ones that will depreciate very little for the foreseeable future.

Still for sale! I took some additional photos this weekend. BMW really did a nice job with the details like the alacantara trim, thicker M3 steering wheel and M3 shift ****.

Sorry for the off topic post (beautiful car for sale BTW), but how does your Dinan stage 2 550 feel compared to your tweaked 1M.

Thanks for the compliment on the 1M. I have not raced the two, but seat of the pants it feels like the 550 Dinan Stage 3 would be even from 0-80 but easily walk away from the 1M after 80-100 thanks to the wall of torque and 4.4 liter displacement.

I prefer the 1M, but would actually think the 550 (tuned) is a better daily driver if only the suspension wasn't so boat-like.

I hear you on the suspension, as I was contemplating the Dinan shockware as my next upgrade. However, I must admit when I am tired and just want to cruise I like the option of cushy Buick mode. I have so far very much liked the 550ix with the stage 2 Dinan. I was dead set on an M5 but decided I absolutely needed AWD after our last winter and have been surprisingly happy with the decision.

I have looked into the suspension upgrades as round two for my mods; you may want to consider the springs first. They cost about $500 plus installation and alignment (est. $1,200) and will result in the car sitting slightly lower. These mods plus the shockwave would really put the car about as close as possible to a true ///M.

Such an awesome car. You wonder what BMW was thinking only making 750? This car or something really close should be in production. I know that takes the exclusivity out of I owning one but something so right should be available.
