Loren - a good shop can paint htem!!
You actually one upped me as I do not have memory in my car (neither does the factory sports seats option!!)...I wish I had memory as I know that in combo with the park distance control you can get the pass. mirror to tilt when in reverse...

Mansour, I could never one-up your car! (But the memory is really nice!) My dealer was probably being overly conservative, but not having painted a set before they did not want to take the risk and become responsible. Can the safety stickers on the backs be easily removed without leaving a "ghost" mark?

Hey Loren - the whole 'one up' thing was a joke...Porsche is insane to charge $1220 per seat to upgrade sports seats to electrical!! No memory included wither...what a ripoff
the stickers are very easy to remove - you should have done it before installing the seats but no biggie....Get a hair dryer, heat them up and they should peel right off leaving no excess adhesive (if some is left id use "Goo GOne" to remove it)...

Mansour,
Will remove "no rear passenger"stickers as you recommend. Thanks!
Of all of Porsche's outrageous interior prices, I'm astonished at $1220 per seat for electrical. While I probably wouldn't pay the $2440 in a new car, I can say the electrical, memory, and tilt mirror are great features. The way to get them is to buy a used set of standard seats and switch the bases.

the 2440 does not include memory, you can't get one seat without the other, and this is to upgrade sports seats which although on a TT are a no cost option on NA 996s they are an option!! So you need the price of sport seats AND 2440...ripoff

Hi Mansour,
The conversion worked great! I may have the only electric sport seats WITH memory and tilt mirror. Thanks for selling the new sport seats to me.
I now have a like new set of black standard seats with manual fore/aft/height and electric backs for sale. Can be used in 996, 993 and Boxsters. $1,000 plus shipping, if anyone is interested.
BTW, here in PA where I live we have already had 8" of snow and an add'l 14" is forecast by tomorrow PM. Had our 2003 Range Rover out in the snow today and it was unstoppable. I'll take the Cayenne TT out tomorrow with its 18" turbo wheels and N rated (Porsche approved) Dunlop Grandtrek tires. Am also adding a GIAC chip to my Cayenne next week and Fabspeed exhaust system when they are available. It is my Cayenne TT that is on the Fabspeed web site (pre Sport Techno wheels, Sport Techno exhaust tips, stainless steel skidplate, alum rocker guards, and new style Tequipment roof rack).
