For sale is my 2005 BMW e46 M3 Convertible with 6-speed Manual Transmission in mint impeccable condition. It took me over 6 months of daily searching to find this an unmolested car in perfect condition with low miles back in 2010. I have taken impeccable care of ever since and only put on about 4k miles a year. This M3 is my 3rd car and so it has enjoyed being a garage queen its entire life and it shows. There is still a faint new car smell. The Next owner should feel confident picking up such a low mileage e46 M3 with the desired 6-speed manual transmission. It's in pristine condition without any stories and needs absolutely nothing. The car is reliable and everything works. It was originally sold by Peter Pan BMW in San Francisco and has always been a California car.

Although I've received my fair share of jokes from fellow enthusiasts that I never modded the car, I truly enjoyed having it exactly as it came from factory, with the exception of tires: Michelin PSS 245/275 (front/back). All maintenance has been methodically done only with original BMW parts bought directly from BMW dealerships. Same goes for oil changes - only BMW M3 oil was used, bought from dealer. I have never tracked it either. My hope is the next buyer continues to take care of this car, so I will include my BMW car cover ($300+) and BMW wind deflector ($700+).

I am the third owner, and have purchased it in June 2010 with 18k miles. The previous owner had it for a year, and only put on 3k miles, as it was his 5th car. The original owner bought it in 2006 and had it for 3 years for a total of 15k miles.

It has been a pleasure driving it some weekends. The car has never been in any accidents and has a clean carfax. It's has been very reliable and served me well. In my 5 yrs of ownership, I've had 3 ignition coils go bad at different times which were replaced, nothing else. Adult owned vehicle entire life.

Recent Maintenance:
  • 5/2010 - Oil Change and overall checkup (under warranty)
  • 10/2010 - Rear Tires replaced + 4 wheel alignment
  • 11/2010 - Ignition Coil replaced
  • 2/2011 - Oil Change (annual oil change due to low annual mileage)

Wow, I wanted something with under 20K miles, but that is beautiful. Why was the Ignition Coil replaced so often? What is the paint like? Any protection on it?

Thank you! I wouldn't say so often considering it's on '05 and we're in 2015. It is not uncommon for the ignition coils to go bad on these cars. It's a very simple job to replace them. Takes less than 30 mins and coils themselves are around $30.

The paint is perfect, literally. The car is always in the garage and when it's outside, except for driving I'd always park in in shade away from direct sunlight.
