2000 Avus Blue M5 11k miles $44K

Hey guys. This is off topic but I have to get a car out of my dad's garage or he is going to start parking it outside. He bought a new M5 and F430 which fills the garage up now. So his 2000 M5 is up for sale:

2000 E39 M5 Avus Blue/Black with grey sport interior
11,000 miles
6 spd
Navigation system
Rear spoiler
HK stereo
Car is fully loaded with every option you could get on a 2000 M5. The inside is a 9.9 out of 10 and the outside is 9.5 out of 10. Garage kept and never driven in the rain. He is asking $44K for the car. Please call or email me if you want more details and if you are interested.

Great looking car! I hate to say it, but I'd be shocked if he get's $44 for it.

Any pix of the 430 and M5?!

Only made for the first half of 2000. Less than 6 months of production

Nope, that was the standard 00 steering wheel.

And as stated above the Avus was only a 6 month production run. Great color, I had one.

44k is a bit high but you never know.

Steering wheel is standard.

As for the asking price, as always this is a starting point. When somebody calls me up with the money to buy then we can talk. Until then everybody that thinks it is too cheap or too expensive can keep to themselves. Money talks and bull**** walks.

Seth,
My previous car was the exact same as your Dad's, '00 Avus over Silverstone.
In my opinion Avus Blau is the best colour BMW has done.
I don't think this is the right forum to sell this car.
If you haven't already, I would suggest you join M5board.com and post it there. It's the best e39 M5 site.
Good luck with the sale.
Cheers,
Stan

Hmmm. Guess I was wrong. Could have sworn that my wheel didn't look like that. I must be getting old.

That was the wheel on my 2 2000's and my buddies 2000 as well. BUT you could put the other (newer wheel) on later.

And Seth, sorry to have offended you. Nobody jumped you about it. All the comments were polite suggestions. But you cruise the e46fanatics boards alot so you are used to a different breed I am sure.

Once again good luck with your Dad's sale. The e39 M5 is one of the best (although my 95 Euro M5 was a trip).

No real offense taken Tim. I am used to the guys on E46Fanatics and BimmerForums where they will kill your post if they think the price is high. They think you should price your car at the lowest you will take for it and then negotiate from there. That is not how I was taught to negotiate. Highest first and anyone interested starts there. Cash is king.

Euro 95 M5s are prettty sweet. I always wanted one with the 3.8L. I did have a chance to drive a 95 Euro M5 Touring. Man what a car.
