Flew out to take a look at this Car earlier this week and did not buy it. FYI there is an accident on the Carfax, OP told me it was a bump and just the bumper was replaced, but upon pulling the carfax it showed subframe replacement and right front damage, the right front tire shows more than normal wear to the outside edge , leading me to believe it is still not tracking right even after repair. there are some other concerning things , like the car is due for New pads and rotors all around to the tune of almost 6k to replace.
I sure wish the owner had mentioned these things before I flew out there .

That sucks, sorry to hear. You can do the brakes for less if you source the parts yourself and find a tech that will use your parts rather than their own (or actually do the work yourself). However, with the Turbo S brakes there's no getting around the fact that they are still very pricey, 2 piece front rotors are the problem.
These PIGS can be quite expensive to maintain if you don't know what you're getting into. It really pays to look closely at brakes/tires before buying. What appears to be two similar cars for similar prices can be apples & oranges at the end of the day.

I'm surprised you flew out without having a PPI done in advance. When you say pads and rotors are due to the tune of $6k what do you mean by that? How did you determine that the rotors are bad? You can replace the ceramics with steel(iron actually) rotors much cheaper but at 87k miles the ceramics should still have a lot of life left in them if cared for.

Also, a PPI does not guarantee anything. i've had those done before only to receive a car that was not as reported. I've been taken more than once, and now only buy certified and must put my eyes on the car.
To the Seller. You should edit your classified and be transparent in your dealings.

And on the ceramic rotors, if he knows enough about them to say they need replacing then he should know enough to ask for a picture of them prior to flying out. Are the rotors cracked or just pitted. If pitted, how badly? Or is he just saying that because of the mileage?

I agree it doesn't but I know from other threads that this potential buyer is fairly demanding. I would find it hard to believe that he flew out to buy a car without having a PPI done. My guess is that he tried to use these things to drive the price down and that the seller wouldn't budge. But that's just speculation on my part.

Let me clarify a few things. The potential buyer Colocyanne spent a week trying to drive the price down to 24k. I made him a more than reasonable offer for the vehicle and disclosed the front tire wear along with the carfax accident report. When I purchased the vehicle with 82k on it, I took it to Hendrick Porsche in Charlotte, NC. The car spent a few hours with the tech going through PPI. Hendrick gave it a clear bill of health after fixing a small oil leak and an o ring on a PDCC line. The vehicle accident repairs were completed at authorized porsche shop back when it had 8k miles on it. The vehicle drives perfect with zero issues.
Colocyanne drove the vehicle and commented on how well it drove. Sorry he made the decision to come out without a PPI but, I made him aware of the previous report and it was his ignorance from then on. Slakker is correct, after a week of back and forth on the pricing, he decided to finally meet me at a reasonable number and then wanted to drive the cost down again.
The brakes are fine in my opinion, they are bedded in and you can feel a small lip at the top of the rotor but, you will have a lip on the rotor after a certain amount of time with the way the rotors are made. The rear pads will need to be changed soon but, the sensor is not broken and the brakes feel great when you need them. Again, the buyer was using this as a tool to drive the price down.
The front tire was wearing incorrectly and I had an alignment preformed to correct the issue. I am not sure how long the front tires were on before I corrected the issue but, i dont believe it is a result of the previous incident since the car tracks perfectly.
I have no problem sharing the carfax and I did not list the accident in the posting in an effort to discuss the issue with each potential buyer and let them know about the contacts I had look into the car before buying it. I was completely transparent with the buyer, provided the VIN and countless question and answer sessions.
The car is in great condition, inside and out, no dents, scratches, curb rash etc. It really sucks that a disgruntled low balling buyer has turned this thread into a bash session.

We expect full and complete disclosure for any item posted for sale here...especially, high ticket items like vehicles...a buyer should have no surprises upon receiving an item whether a PPI is performed or not...there have been situations where a PPI was totally misleading...two people can look at the same car and come away with completely different impressions...if you want to sell here, put it all up front, or expect to receive some criticism

1st hint should be he bought it with 82k and selling with 87K. 5,000 miles and wanting to dump would be my first flag. If it were an exotic or collector I would understand. You can also see in the first pic the front left tire is shot, if you "recently" replaced the rear tires why not the front?

Your ad was straightforward but brief. I do not see any issue with disclosure issues. You obviously wanted to present the facts.
Nicely done .
