I called Navteq (formerly Navtech) the original supplier of the CD-ROM Nav discs for the PCM1 system, and was told that the most recent discs for PCM1 are from 2003, with no further upgrades. They sell the discs for $300 for the set of 7 that covers the USA, $145 for a single disc, and $200 for 2 discs.

FWIW, I have the 2000 PCM in my Boxter and the integrated tunes, nav and OBC is nice. Would not recommend this for someone that needs the latest and greatest nav maps, but I would get it just for the integrated features and the seamless look and feel. The screen is great and Porsche (or whomever) put some thought into the eergonomics of the controls and lighting. An additional plus is that it is fairly rugged. I've got my Boxster lowered on JIC coilovers and 30 series 18" tires, so the ride is not what you would call plush, and the unit doesn't skip a beat.

I have a set of unopened discs dated 08/2004 that I thought were for PCM 1 I will take $100 shipped if anyone wants them. Email me and I will give you the part number to verify they will work for your application. Thanks
