No accident history, no stories, clean CarFax. Spent almost it's entire life in California. CarFax lists 5 owners, but I'm actually the 4th. It was sold as a CPO car in Jan 2018 to the previous owner, an older gentleman who then moved from California to Utah where it was re-registered. Since CPO sale it has been meticulously maintained including oil changes every 4-5k miles. I purchased the car in August 2020 with 58k miles and enjoyed every bit of the 4k miles I've put on it. It was my commuter car 3 days a week and was never abused. My only reason for selling is the need to carry 2 young kids.
Prepurchase inspection was done before my purchase on 8/7/2020 at Deutschland Autowerks, UT.
California registration is good through August 2022.
Title in hand. Comes with two keys and all original manuals.
Previous owner put on Cooper Zeon RS3 tires in Jan 2020. They have ~8k miles and over 6mm of tread at all corners
Mechanical History:
During my ownership the only issue I encountered was a stuck engine thermostat which was replaced with genuine Porsche parts. Water pump was also replaced pre-emptively. The car is in perfect mechanical condition and maintenance is up to date. I have all service records under my ownership and most records from the previous owner, who did most of the simple maintenance himself and kept an extensive log. Convertible top operates without a hitch (1 out of 5 times the passenger window doesn't automatically go up all the way as the top closes, but I just close it with the window button)
Prior to CPO sale: PDK transmission fluid changed, front brake rotors replaced, drive belt replaced, oil + filter change, XPEL PPF (front bumper, lower hood, side mirrors, door handles, gas cap)
1/27/18 Front/rear brake pads changed (Redstuff), rear brake rotors replaced
1/28/18 Transmission mount replaced (Function First yellow)
3/9/18 PDK differential fluid changed
3/24/18 Oil + filter change
6/9/18 Oil + filter change
8/24/18 Oil + filter change
10/12/18 Stainless steel brake lines installed
12/17/18 Oil + filter change
4/7/19 Oil + filter change, air filter and pollen filter replaced
9/5/19 PDK clutch oil changed
1/13/20 Oil + filter change
1/27/20 Front and rear tires replaced (Cooper Zeon RS3 245/35/19 front, 325/35/20 rear)
4/2/20 Engine mounts replaced (Corteco)
5/12/20 Spark plugs and coil packs replaced
6/8/20 Oil + filter change
11/24/20 Oil + filter change, brake fluid flushed (House Automotive, Pasadena)
2/5/21 Thermostat replaced, water pump replaced (preventative), coolant flush (Stuttcar Service, Pasadena)
Exterior: 7/10
Typical road rash for the mileage, mostly on the front bumper, right front fender, right side mirror. Very small chips in the windshield. XPEL is 4 years old and has a few holes from rock chips (did its job and bumper underneath seems ok). Soft top has some wrinkles on the left side and a small stain. Small scuff on the rear bumper just below the right taillight (only noticeable up close). Right side sill has a small dent. Also just noticed a few fine scratches along the right rear fender.
Front lip was sanded and resprayed a few months ago and is in pretty good condition.
I only handwash the car myself. Claybar/sealant applied every 6 months. Car is always garaged both at home and at work.
Interior 7/10
Typical Alcantara wear on the steering wheel and handbrake. There is a loose stitch on the steering wheel. Some driver's seat side bolster wear. Seatbacks have scuffs, more noticeable on the passenger side.
As all Porsche enthusiasts know, the engine of a driven, well-maintained car is stronger than that of a garage queen. This car has many more miles to give its next owner. In the current market, it's truly a fantastic driving experience and a great value!
