Clean history. Title in hand with my name on it. Clean Carfax that I can forward. The vehicle’s Carfax shows that I am the 8th owner which is not correct and verified multiple times over. I am the 6th owner with each one being beyond meticulous in their record keeping as shown by the 3” ring binder full of maintenance records and receipts going back to day one. The first three (3) owners are actually ONE individual from CA (Huntington Beach) who was actually the President of PCA for Orange County Region and owned the car through 2010. The more extensive history of ownership is as follows:
- Purchased from Don Rosen Porsche/Audi in Plymouth Meeting PA and shipped to Huntington Beach on 7/10/2001. Owned through beginning of 2010 (shown on Carfax as owners #1-3)
- Mid 2010 the vehicle was purchased and went up north in CA. Located in San Francisco. Owned through mid 2012 (shown on Carfax as owner #4)
- Mid 2012 the vehicle made its way to Virginia for the third owner and was owned through beginning of 2013 (shown on Carfax as owner #5)
- Early 2013 vehicle was sold in Virginia to the fourth owner and was owned through the end of 2017 (Carfax shows as owner #6)
- Late 2017 sold Maryland to its fifth owner and was owned through the end of 2020 (Carfax shows as owner #7)
- ME – 6th owner starting the Thanksgiving Day of 2020 at 59K miles.
The setup of the vehicle as it sits at this time:
- OEM GT2 front conversion with all the duct work
- OEM GT2 wheels with 235/315 R888R tires
- GT2 Rear decklid and wing conversion (The decklid is an aftermarket unit (I believe) YET is stamped with a “Made in Germany” stamp with the 996 GT2 decklid OEM part number). Appears as the brand is Schroeder. I believe the wing itself IS an OEM GT2 wing – however, I have not yet confirmed.
- GMG Club Sport Suspension Package. This package includes double adjustable remote reservoir Moton shocks as well as all suspension link upgrades
- GT1 Hybrid Turbos by Ultimate Motorwerks with upgraded billet wastegates and Ultimate Motorwerks Stage 2 software along with a 5 bar FPR
- OEM GT2 intercoolers
- Y-Pipe
- Custom free-flowing titanium exhaust by jchutch (Instagram: jchutch). Catless however, has small resonators installed.
- Adjustable swaybars with TRG drop links
- Brey Krausse Harness Bar with Schroth 4 point Cam Lock harness
- Carbon Fiber elephant ear seats
- GT3 center console delete package
- Rollcage/bar
- OEM 350MM front rotors
- Steel Braided Brake Lines all around
- Billet Pop-off Valves and Forged Diverter Valves
- Ported and Extrude Honed Exhaust Manifold
- Powder coated and Extrude Honed Y-Pipe
- Ceramic coated Exhaust and Hot Side of Turbos
- Stud conversion all around
- Alpine Bluetooth and Satellite sound system with upgraded speakers.
- Hardwired for radar
- Hardwired for dashcam
- Rennline pedal set and driver’s mat
- CDT HD643 and HD42 speakers with amp.
- B&M Short Shift Kit
Since I purchased:
- Replaced the EuroPipe exhaust with custom titanium set up. Sound and performance is unmatched.
- Full decontamination and paint correction
- Clear-shield installation on the full front (note 1 piece for the GT2 bumper - free hand cut). Full front included - bumper, full front fenders, hood, a-pillars, mirror, and a section of the roof. Additionally, headlights were done as well as the “triangle” sections in front of the rear wheels
- Ceramic-coating with Feynlab products on the full car as well as the newly re-powdercoated GT2 wheels
- Full under-side dry-ice cleaning (inclusive of removal of pans, etc.) Results are unreal... please take a look at the pictures.
- Replaced the factory hollow spoke with OEM GT2 wheels freshly refinished (powdercoated with a clear) in Porsche Silver.
- New Interstate Battery
- New R888R tires 235/315 set up on GT2 wheels
- New GT2 alignment
- Several oil changes and general maintenance shop visits
- LED interior light upgrade
The maintenance records on this car are simply unmatched. Again – I am glad to go into the weeds of every record on this car with a seriously interested party. All has been replaced, rebuilt (i.e. Motons had a full rebuild several thousand miles ago to a tune of $3K alone), and thoroughly and religiously maintained. There are several hundred thousand dollars worth of records through the car’s 21 year long life.
Disclaimers:
1. The cars exterior condition is nearly flawless. There is a small ding on the back passenger side approaching the rear wheel.
2. The carbon fiber buckets do have some areas where the seatbelt has rubbed through the seat’s vinyl.
3. A bit of clearcoat peeling on the calipers
4. The rear decklid alignment is a bit less than my preference. I’ve been intending on getting it past a body shop to align a bit better – however, haven’t had an opportunity to do so just yet.
5. The airbag and seatbelt light is on due to the carbon fiber buckets. I’ve heard that there is a quick solution via plug for the wiring harnesses for the seats – however, haven’t had an opportunity to explore just yet.
Price: $82,500 OBO

Wow. Talk about a meticulous well put together build. I can't get over how clean the under carriage showing the engine cradle with all the zinc plated bolts are. Miss my 04 Turbo. This will sell itself!

Unlikely in the current configuration. The exhaust is cat-less however, the post cat o2’s are turned off and spaced away for added security. In MD this car would pass emissions and inspection (if needed) as well as other states as most simply look to see whether or not the car is throwing any codes. I am not too up to date on my CA SMOG regulation knowledge…. But I am aware of them being quite severe. That said - you would probably need catalytic converters which the gent that made the exhaust could certainly modify in with his skills (and also probably make them removable if desired). I’ve seen him do a few exhaust set ups in that fashion.
The other thing - - - in MD this car is tagged (currently) as a historic due to being 20+ years old. I presume the same would apply in other states as well and that results in not needing any sort of inspections nor emissions testing.
Best,
Paul

I would say NO WAY
You can't even have a tune on your car in CA, unless it's CARB approved. Yet alone aftermarket exhaust etc. If you have connections, anything is possible

This is so far from true for our generation of cars. This is unfortunate misinformation that is getting spread around that unnecessarily scares a lot of people.
