FS: 2001 Berlina Black Honda S2000 - $19,000 30k miles!
2001 Berlina Black Honda S2000
30,000 miles
$19,000
Honda Certified Preowned Warranty (fully transferable, valid for 7yrs/100k miles I believe)
Optional dealer installed side strakes and spoiler
NADA value: $21,375
KBB value: $20,835
(This is without the extras such as the warranty and stereo!)
Stock, save for these mild mods:
Alpine headunit (CDA 9830)
JL Audio component system
Alpine amp (MRV F303)
Honda Titanium version shift ****
Hardwired for a Valentine V1 or Escort radar detectors
All maintenance is done, including 30,000 mile fluid changes. New Honda MTF for the transmission, Mobil 1 at 28,000 miles, LE 607 for the differential and Honda Type II coolant. I had Holtz Honda in Rochester fix the axle creak/pop service bulletin issue by replacing the axle nuts and properly torqueing them.
The car is freshly detailed, was clay barred and waxed recently and looks stunning. The leather and top are both in great condition. The engine runs great and uses very little oil (normal for these engines). Transmission feels great as well. When I changed the differential, there was almost NO slurry in it which leads me to believe it was driven very nicely its whole life. The car is really in mint condition.
There are a few minor chips in the paint and very tiny scratches in a couple places. I would rate the paint at 9/10, amazing condition for a 2001. The amp is mounted in the trunk over top of the tool tray – the stereo install was professionally done and looks great. All stock tools are present and in their styrofoam packing.
The engine is bone stock and always has been.
The only negative with the car is the current tires. I bought the car with cheap all season tires which are now nearly spent. The car will likely be sold with new tires, I’m currently considering the Falken Azenis RT-615 or possibly the Kumho 711. I’m very flexible, so anything the buyer would want for tires can be arranged.
Now, for why I am getting rid of it. The car is awesome, everything I had hoped for, but I’ve gotten the itch for a project car. A very expensive project car, to be exact, so I can’t afford to keep the S2000 and still work on the project. Reasonable offers will be considered, but I’m in no real rush to sell the car. I’m a very flexible and understanding seller though, so feel free to PM me and run any crazy ideas you may have by me.
Trades that would be considered:
FD RX7
LS1 FD RX7
Parts to make an LS1 FD RX7

New photos after a professional quality detail.
Just to note, the top is *NOT* faded, it was just very very bright out and the black paint of the car makes the top seem washed out. It's actually much darker than most tops I see around and is getting another coat of Vinylex very soon.
Detailed photos of any paint damage to come tonight or tomorrow.

Price drop to $19k. As for paint damage, it is minimal or non-existant. Anyone who came to look at the car would not be surprised at the condition, it really is in amazing shape!
Also, I will entertain any offer or possible trade, I just need to end up with some cash out of the deal, since the goal here is to be a bit more liquid at the end of the day.
