I also think it is too high. That's the price you sometimes pay for modding your car. I know, I did it. And got hammered. Didn't care, and could have gotten more had I held out longer but wanted a change and I don't like waiting LOL.

You need to find someone who wants the exact mods you have. And quite frankly, your mods are mostly cosmetic. Brabus pedals? Brabus side lights? Brabus is one of the most expensive (and IMHO overrated) tuners on the market. What do you mean by "software upgrade". Do you have a pre and post dyno of the car? Serious AMG buyers are going to ask that question.

I agree with another poster. You'd be better off (and make more money) on parting out the car. The E55 market is soft right now. There are a lot of '04 and '03 coming off lease as well as the E63 being just released, not to mention the CLS alternative.

I think he is agreeing with your post...and meant to say "preach on" You are totally correct, the E55 AMG market is soft and you can find a stock 04-05 for low 60s to high 60s (depending on the mileage and options). I'm thinking about getting one as a daily driver especially if prices continue to decrease.

With gas prices going to 3.50+ a gallon by labor day (JMHO) the E55 just does not justify the gas consumption. The car is great but I would rather be burning my gas dollars on something a little more exotic or upscale. E class is the Ford Taurus of MB.

It never ceases to amaze me, guys this is a classified add for his car, not a debate on how much he's asking for his car, and that gas prices are high so the market is soft. Do you all really think your helping advertise his add? Would you like someone to do this when you sell a car? Start a debate in the off topic if you want to talk about market prices.

Sweet Ride like the rest of your cars

Good one Alvin.

What are you replacing the E55 with, the RS? Or are you finally going to move a few cars.

Yeah I would. Especially if someone was recently in the same situation as he is - like me. I don't want him to be disappointed and wonder why no one's biting on what he's asking for. I'm not ragging on the guy - I was trying to be constructive. Go see the responses he got at Mbworld.

PS - I really enjoyed your write up and pics of your euro delivery at Mbworld (I'm cte430 there)

Everyone rags on this forum. It's what it's for apart from other things. Don't like...thin skinned...get off. We live in 2006 where everyone is ready to jump on your case for something. Don't worrying bleeding heart club fans he'll sell the car. It's a nice car. Just some cars are soft right now...some are not. BTW I have an F430 (996TT is my old ride) and I don't ***** about the price of gas. But then again it's not car that they punch out 200 a day.

when a car is listed on 6 speed one can expect comments about the price. just the way it is. we are informed on this site and know the market. the e55 is soft. how do i know? i just got out of a 2005. as time goes by (months) it drops more. i hope he sells and all these bumps keep interest high. but one can purchase a 2005 for the mid to low 60's. just think what you could do with 10k more in after market. good luck with the car but the market is tough.

Nice car. If I could talk my wife out of the stupid SUV(which hardly gets driven) I would be making an offer. I have seen these e55's for lower prices on ebay and elsewhere but wouldn't hesitate to pay more for a car with the tasteful options and mods you have on yours. So don't be afraid to hang tight for the right buyer.

As an owner of an E55, I know that the market is soft. But hanging tight as the car depreciates further may not be the best advice. Parting it out may be more advantageous. The other comment about the E class as the Ford Taurus of MB is laughable. The last time I saw an engine put together by hand from start to finish, by one engineer in a POS Ford Taurus, was never. LOL
