I have sold modified cars before and gotten as much as 60% for my mods in return by waiting for the right buyer. However, if you aren't using the car then it doesn't make sense to just hold onto it as it will only go down in value.

I see some valid points. As a former AMG owner I know its a pretty narrow market and that group is made up of two polar opposites, ones who simply cannot fathom ugrading or modding the car and others (a much smaller group) who pull out the stops.

Point being is that the car with the mods is selling to a smaller group of an already samll group but they are around it just might take a bit of time. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have to unload it.
