HELP!! Stolen 2003 RENNTECH S600
#33
The latest update is that my car seems to have been registered in another persons name on Dec 5th, even though I still have the pink slip and never signed it over to anyone. Thanks to the help of some members of this board, we were provided with the name and address of the new registrant. The name seems to be a made up one, that does not belong to a real person. Some friends of mine showed up in person at the address but my car was no where to be seen, however there were several other cars from the GT IMPORTS lot that disappeared. I will let the police know, but I am doubtful that they will help. I hope they prove me wrong.

I'm sure your state police have a local car theft task force. These are the people you should be dealing with. Not just regualr police.
also how can the police say the car was not stolen. You don't know where it is or who is driving it. You did noy give anybody permission to drive it. That is stolen. It does not mater that you had a contract with somebody to sell it for you and you were paid a sum of money for this contract...you did not sell the car and its gone. For all you know somebody else stole it off the GT lot the night before the place was raided. In any even, the fact that it was removed from that location without your consent = stolen in every legal sense of the word. The police have to let you file a report and ativate a trace. Call the task force...

can you file a new report that it has been stolen. i wouldnt mention that you received any money at all Maybe that money was a loan not a payment for the car.
