Yellow GT3 seats

Anyone want these for a Z06, Porsche, or I suppose whatever? (they would look great with a Porsche or other crest sewn over the Z06!).

http://turboflix.com/55DBF4C9-AD05-4...3-E292686330BF

These cost $3990/pr new from Carravaggio Corvettes (genuine GT3 Recaro shells with custom leather, raised stitching, etc. - pretty awesome). I think the painted seat backs are an additional $200/each, for a total of $4400.

Selling seats because [sold Z06].

$2500 for pair, not including shipping etc. I know that the Porsche ones can be found cheaper elsewhere, so don't know if this makes sense for a Porsche person!

Seats are in new condition. Located in San Diego.

Is that the stock steering wheel on the Z06 these days? It's pretty sweet!

No, that's a custom wheel from Caravaggio Corvettes.

Guys - I got some low offers, and I saw that some are getting GT3 seats for $2200 or $2500 new - probably makes more sense to go that way if you have a Porsche. These are $4400 new, so maybe it only makes sense for a Z06 owner ... no worries, I was just asking.

out of curiousity, why would these seats be $2000 more new?

Probably the same reason Audi charges double for the same VW part.

Actually, it's not the same part. First, the covers are made from scratch. Second, Caravaggio must modify them to fit on the stock Z06 power sliders. Third, they are yellow.

They are an extremely low volume part (way lower than a standard GT3 seat). I have no personal information on this, but an educated guess is that they have sold less than 10 pairs total.

Now if you don't want the custom covers, don't have a Z06, and don't want them yellow - that's 3 strikes against these.

I'm not in a big hurry to sell them, eventually someone will want them for a Z06, and I certainly don't want to sell someone something they will immediately feel they don't want, or should have got a different price on.

So again - these seats cost about $4400 new. These are not regular GT3 seats (but should fit in a Porsche anyway). The price is $2500, and you can get GT3 seats *new* for $2500 if you look hard enough and get them shipped (according to some other posts here). Hopefully that's clear.

How much weight savings over stock? Do you get a side air bag warning? Do you still have the steering wheel for sale?

I don't know the exact savings - probably 5 or more lbs / seat if you have the 2LZ with airbags, heaters, etc. Not as much on the 1LZ.

If you ditch the power sliders you save a *lot* more. I was just holding one the other day while swapping seats. I'm guessing 15 lbs for the slider system alone.

You should check with some of the race shops about the airbag system wiring. I know many have put different seats in 2LZs. Mine was a 1LZ.

Steering wheel was sold with car.
