there is a beautiful one over on e46fanatics.com. I'm actually thinking of reasons not to buy it. It's LSB on Cinnamon (very rare). If you like LSB, I'd def check it out. I think its sick. I have no affiliation to the owner what so ever

Thanks for the replies, everyone!
I've looked pretty hard at the Carbon Black one on M3FORUM.net, but unfortunately location plays another big role in this.
I'm on the east coast, he's on the west coast. We're talking about $1500 to ship the car to me which adds an expense that I really don't want to swallow at this point.
That car is absolutely gorgeous, though. If he was closer I would jump on it.
Thanks again!

again, if i were you, i would make up my mind at what price i would buy the car, considering the hassle of having to fly out there to do the final inspection and then ship it, and offer it to him. you never know, he might just jump on it.
of course, if you dont want the hassle all together, then you walk away. happy hunting.

I will second the above comment. I can also vouch for that Carbon Black Car as well. Eddie has taken supreme care of it. It has been more of a show car then anything. Always garage kept, detailed.... I would even put money on the fact that it has never seen a drop of rain.
I'm sure you can negotiate a lil on shipping, but trust me, coming from an used E46 M3, finding quality cars is becoming harder and harder.
The savings you think you might obtain by buying a car locally, could end up costing you much more then if you had spent a lil more upfront on a vouched for specimen. Just my .02...... goodluck on your search!

Wise move friend. If they numbers work out, I think you will be floored having that car in your bay. I had a 03 Carbon Black on Black, and so badly wished I had gotten cinnamon or imola red interior.
On a side note, I helped my sister recently purchase a new FJ Cruiser. Flew from Dallas to Brooklyn and drove the thing back. Sure it took 27 hours of straight driving, but ooo the memories!!
