FS: 1998 Mercedes C43 AMG
Hi guys,
I am testing waters with this car. It is my dad's, but he has recently "given" it to me in exchange for my 4th year tuition. We were going to trade it in on my next car, but I will probably buy used so I am thinking of just selling it.
He bought is maybe 5 years ago, and it was his 3rd car. Driven maybe 6-7K per year, only on longer freeway trips. He was completely **** about this car. Mobil 1 every 4K (they say 5K), Sea-Foamed every 10K, etc.
Only problem we ever had was the MAF sensor, which was replaced maybe 2 years ago.
Clean title in hand.
77,xxx miles currently.
Jet black with two-tone Silver/Black leather.
Upgrades:
OEM Bosch "Euro" clear front signals
OEM S600 Grill
OEM "faux" CF trim
K&N Panel Filters
PIAA Super White Bulbs
35% Window Tint
AMG flat hood bezel
Extra OEM Floor Mats & All Seasons
3M Clear Bra
The car is in amazing condition. Washed/waxed regularly, always garaged, etc. Well taken care of mechanically as well. Still blows frigid AC.
2 blemishes:
Wheels have a few minor curb marks. I don't have pictures right now (don't even own a camera). Not big scratches, but they do have some small marks. The spare is actually in pretty good condition though.
The tint on the driver window has some small hairline scratches in it. I assume there was some dust/dirt on the seal and it scratched as it was lowered perhaps.
The wheels have Pirelli Pzero Nero MS tires, standard size (225/245) with a ton of tread left. Maybe 3K on the tires.
The car also has a crapload of spare oil/filters left. My dad stocked up and planned to keep this car forever. We also have the OEM lights/grill.
The seats/wheel are in great condition with minimal wear/dirt. However there is a white strip on the shift **** that is a little dirty. It can be cleaned I imagine, replaced, ignored, whatever. Hard to see anyway. Just being honest.
We knew what we wanted, and this car is super rare (1500 USA). We had it shipped from PA to WA without seeing it first.
On to the pictures:
The car is currently in Vancouver, BC but it is registered in WA and that's where it will be sold from.
As for price, I am not sure. There are some selling for low teens on eBay, but being so rare it's hard to get an accurate picture. IMO, those were in crappy condition.
I would like to see $17.5K for it.
I think it's the ultimate daily driver. Easy to drive, reliable, non-chalant, comfortable, unique, cheap, etc.
We get 30mpg on the highway and 22 in the city. I normally average 26. It's nice.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the bump!
Market has seemed to sap a bit in the last few months for these cars.
Selling isn't important, but price is lowered to $14,490.
Can't go lower than that regardless of "value"... I'd just assume keep it.
I think it's a great value for that car, but I'm young and enjoy changing things around.
