tripledigits is infamous around these parts
These are the old style. I had these in my 997S and the dealer would not turn the airbag warning lamp off. I think the wings on these seats look right in a 996 but not a 997. How much for the current GT3 seats? I hate to ask but what about the new GT2 seats with airbags?

Unfortunately, the seats will not fit in a 993. And there is still no word on the new GT2 style folding seats w/ airbags.

The current 997 GT3 seats have dropped dramatically in price (they have been running upwards of $20k until recently). If you really like these seats, we are running a sale for a very limited time.

$10,795.00

Derived from the Carrera GT and made from genuine carbon fiber. These are the same seats which are optional in the European market, commonly known as the 997 GT3 seats. Weighing around 25 pounds each, they are among the lightest seats available on a standard production car. They offer a valuable weight saving over the standard sports seats of approximately 53 lbs.

These come directly from Porsche, featuring a Carbon Fiber back, Black Leather Seat with Alcantara center cushions. They come complete, with the shells, rails, and sliders. Perlon (fire-retardant black cloth) is also available, contact us for more information.
  • Fitment:
  • Boxster 986 (all versions) - 1997-2004
  • Boxster 987 (all versions) - 2005 or newer ***
  • Cayman (all versions) - 2005 or newer ***
  • Carrera 996 (all versions) - 1999-2004
  • Carrera 997 (all versions) - 2005 or newer ***
*** for models with Advanced Airbags (2006 or newer), the seat airbags & weight sensor will have to be disabled by your local dealer. This will deactivate the airbag warning light on your instrument cluster.
LIMITED TIME PRICING!

They are a little bother-some to get in and out but they hold you in place when you drive the car the way it was meant to be driven.....

I'd be interested in a set of GT3 Adaptive Sport Seats (with alcantara). Do they ever get traded in?

Why is there such a HUGE difference in price between the 996 and 997 GT3 seats??

major difference between them is the 997 shell is carbon fiber the 996 is not. then the newer the more expensive, as usual.

Kenin, we don't have any take-offs for the adaptive sport seats. I'll try to price out everything necessary to put them together, but the parts would probably have to come in from Germany.

Arling, thanks, you are correct. It's because they're newer style seats, with a CF shell, and Alcantara cushions. The price is also higher because we cannot buy complete seats like we do w/ the 996 seats. We have to buy the individual parts and piece them together, which is always more expensive.
