You know that, when it comes time to find a PERFECTLY FITTING child seat for your Porsche, there aren't any real choices out there but this - a GENUINE OEM Tequipment Porsche Plus child seat for children 33-80 lbs and from ages 3 1/2 through 12 years of age. I had this on my 997 and also used it with a PERFECT FIT on my '87 Carrera. My brother had a 996 with the Airbag Deactivation kit for the 996 on the passenger's side front seat and this worked seamlessly to deactivate the airbag with the red belt you see on the front of this Porsche Plus child seat. The 997s have an intelligent airbag system but I installed the Porsche Child Seat Fastener system to be safer and that uses the car's key to deactivate the alarm and thus one obviates the red belt that comes with this seat.
This car seat fits perfectly on the front or rear of any 996 or 997 and also fits perfectly on the 911s of all years - I used it until now also on the rear and front of my '87 Carrera and this will fit any 911 with similar seat dimensions. I also used it on the rear of my 968 and not in the front as one cannot deactivate the 968's airbag. Therefore, I believe that it will also work on 944 models.
This seat has been taken AWESOME care of! It's clean and there have been no mishaps on it by my kids since I don't allow them to eat or drink anything inside the cars! If you've been looking for one and find it extremely expensive at your Porsche dealer, here is your chance! I have the manuals and this is in great condition and never been on a crash, of course!
