This is a custom made "quiet" version made by Ruf for a select few customers by special order. I have only heard of 2 of these systems in existence. Absolutely zero drone, 100 cell cats. Just slightly louder than stock with a nice, enhanced WOT sound. Years ago when I purchased my car new, I purchased the Ruf exhaust to go with it. The standard Ruf exhaust droned too much for me and after speaking to Alois Ruf, he offered to make this custom version for me. At the time, it was the second one he made, as someone else had the same experience as I did. This Ruf exhaust re-uses the OEM tips.

If you do not want any drone at all, but would like the performance advantage of 100 cell cats, this is a great way to go...

 

I had the regular RUF exhaust which also had zero drone. Still, I sold it for more than this so it's a great deal either way.

 

John did you ever sell the exhaust? I have the regular 4 tip Ruf exhaust on my 996TT and i think i might sell it to obtain one of your exhausts in the quest for more power. Let me know how the sale is going on yours and which of your exhausts you recommend for my setup that will still be quiet but work well with my race program at 650whp.
