I've decided not to install these tail lights, bought from the group buy here:

I am building up a classic mini now and need to divert some funds

I believe they are being sold at present for $850 + shipping, I just want to get my money back, so $785+fair shipping (fedex ground). This includes the red bulbs pre-modded from Ray, which I paid $10+shipping for.

These lights were removed from the box only to look at and never installed- they're beautiful. Not a finger print on em. I can take pictures if you like, but they will arrive as they did to me, double boxed in custom shipping foam.

For additional protection, I can list them on ebay for you with a buy it now, but I will add in typical fees.

So are these the from the first batch or the second batch? The new ones that are $850 have a different board/internal design hence the increase in price. Let me know which ones they are for sure.

 

ahh, wasn't following that. These are 2nd batch, feb 3rd 2011. I am still asking my landed cost though.

Sorry, not looking to take a bath like that, I'd install them first. Not sure why he chose to take a nearly $200 hit on brand new lights. Mine also includes the modded bulbs which I paid for and had shipped from Canada separately.

Hmm, the dectane lights from their site is 450 Eur + shipping from Germany, which is probably about 700+ once and if they arrive. Where are you seeing them for $650 delivered?

 

Thanks for the info, but it sounds like you should purchase from them. I have these lights in my possession in the USA ready to ship for anyone that wants them.

 

Actually we can get Dectane LED from Taiwan factory directly. But when compare the build quality and warranty offer from manufacture. Our current lights seem to be a better unit which we decided not to switch. We have sold over 110 pair of the LED for last 6 months and all customers has good feedback. There are couple of them has condensation issue but it was only 5% and also covered by factory 1 year replacement warranty. dam550 LED lights are 2nd batch which is full functional plug and play unit with working foglight. We stand behind our products, 1 year warranty also can be transfer to 2nd owner. Hope this help for your sales!

Just wanting to double check as the asking price for the new design ones is quite a bit more from Rottec.

 

We never sold any 1st batch from factory. We switch the 2nd batch with new circuit board at the last min with GB orders. So yours is the 2nd batch just like the lights we're selling today.

 

They're the same in design and hardware. We're currently still selling the same lights. The reason for the price increase is GB price was set at very early stage. We underestimate the cost of the lights with the modify housing for fog light and new circuit board. But since we already promote the GB price and need to sticky with it.
