RE 3" Stainless Steel Race Exhaust (x design)

Category: Engine - Exhaust
Price: $1600
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 996 Turbo
Location (State): KY
Item Condition: Brand New
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

This is an almost new 3" Stainless Steel Race Exhaust that was used as a prototype build by a local performance/fabrication shop I've had a relationship with for years. I've had it on my car for ~700 miles (to/back mid-ohio, 2 days DE, some local weekend cars & coffee miles).

On a bone stock car, the exhaust delivered +25 peak RWHP, but more importantly, it delivered power and torque gains throughout the powerband (15-30HP & TQ from 3500-6000 RPM). Since it is a true straight through 3" design, I'm sure it can handle applications pushing 1000WHP+ (as claimed by other 3" exhausts on the market).

Features:
- 3" straight thru design with crossover
- Stainless steel construction from flange to tip
- No cats but includes secondary O2 sensor spacers
- 4 high flow race mufflers
- Angle cut "bullhorn" tips

Sound:
The idle is a quiet rumble with some attitude but not annoying. Cruising is not too loud since there are four mufflers in the system, but once opened up, the sound really comes alive. There is some drone at certain highway speeds, so if you don't want ANY drone, this exhaust is NOT for you. I've driven the car on a 3hr trip, and it didn't bother me, but I want to ensure full disclosure to manage expectations. Here is an in-car clip from Mid-Ohio DE from Go-Pro (wind noise is interfering, but you should be able to get an idea of what to expect):

Please NOTE that because this system does not have cats, the CEL will come on and go out from time to time, but will not put the car in limp mode.

$1600+shipping

Thanks, TK

I'm open to reasonable offers, the cost to reproduce an exhaust like this is $2,500 and I haven't seen a true 3" SS x-pipe go for less than that new.

Thanks, TK

Guys,

This is an awesome exhaust, I can't believe I still have it considering similar exhausts are selling new for $2500. Happy to take any addtl sound clips or answer any questions. This thing sounds about the same as 911Tunning exhaust (it's the same design).

Make me an offer I can't decline.

Thanks, TK

Chris,

Here are the idle, revving, and a couple of drive-by clips. Let me know if you'd like to see/hear anything else:

not a fan of the tips, but i think this might be the best sounding exhaust i've heard yet. and the design looks perfect. I couldn't imagine how you could make a better flowing exhaust than this. I wonder if one could fit 100 cell HFCs right after the flange

Thank you!

There is plenty of room to fit cats in there, I just wanted the best possible flow while keeping the cruise noise down.

Price reduced to $1600, need to move this exhaust..... you guys are killing me.
