This seat fits in all 997.1 and 997.2 vehicles. I purchased it for my 2008 997 C4 and when I test fit it fit perfectly.

looks like this is the 997 version... wonder if it would work in the 996 as well, if so would be interested.

Sorry for the delay in posting this. According to the owners manual, this seat will work in all 996 and 997 model year 911's.
