Fitting a 997tt ****/boot on a 996tt? Anyone ?
I want to retrofit a 997tt **** into my car. Im assuming it should fit right on given I have the 997 ssk assembly.

Has anyone done this? Pics?
Also were you able to make the leather boot fit by cutting it, since its a different shape?

I remember reading the **** has to be swapped onto 996 boot. 997 shifter is so much nicer.

I was thinking of swapping the 997 boot too just making it fit the 996 bezel...

I agree the 997 shift is much nicer.

The 997 roundish ***** are pure sex in the hands.. If I didn't just replace mines with a new cf ****... I would do the same thing.
You gonna go with the regular turbo leather or something more lovely?(gt3)

My interior is full black leather so a gray GT3 **** will kinda stick out. It's actually cheaper then the basic turbo ****. The one I posted a pic of is what I want to retrofit.

I just bought some Alcantara and cut a pattern the same as the old boot and sewed up a custom one. (I'm not a sewer) It looks totally stock and cost < $3.00.

I have done this already. I used the 997 **** with the 996 boot. No cutting/ gluing/ stiching required on mine. Its been like that for 3 years and looks completely stock

997 shift boot does not work, **** does!

i also wanted the 997 handbrake! this does not fit at all

i realize the surrounding "frame" is a different shape. i want to use stock 996 frame with a 997 boot.

the 997 shift **** has a twist style clamp at the bottom of it that u feed boot into. its very simple
