Ride Height...
Assume you couldn't just raise the height to clear the drive?

Well technically Coilovers sit 1" Lower than stock Height all the way up. So OP should really move and leave the coils on

Terms adjustments!
I did raise the ride height by increasing the preload. It did raise the car, but unfortunately the springs then start "packing". In other words the coil bang into each other. The ability to change the preload allows corner balancing of the car. These are meant to lower the car, 1" sounds about right. Drive way clearing does not seem to be part of the original design specifications. The solution? Stock coilovers and no less than 3 door mats to fill the gutter...

C4S compatibility?
I expect they would fit the c4s since as far as I know the c4s has the same wide body brakes and suspension as the turbo model. I'll check the part # on the stock pieces. The parts were bought from the Claus Ettenberger Corporation in Gardena CA,800 766-0064 back on 11/05/02. Part # 996 205 200009 for $3K plus taxes.
