For sale is an OEM Porsche Tequipment "Pan Americana" roll bar. I have just removed this from my car and replaced it with with a full cage. The bar is in like new condition without any scratches or dents. All mounting hardware is included. The bar will fit all 996/997 coupes. Part number is 996.701.980.00. I am unsure if it will fit convertibles. This bar will add structural integrity to the chassis while still allowing full access to the rear seats. Shipping is a flat rate of $50 CONUS.

TD997TT is infamous around these parts
I see you have your seat backs removed - do they have to be removed or can they be left in and still be flipped up and down? Also, is there a harness bar that be attached to this bar?

I removed the rear seats and belts to save weight plus no one rode with me in the back anyway. The rear seat backs do not recline fully, about half way. They can be left up without any issues. You can install an aftermarket removable cross bar that clamps horizontally to the tequipment bar and attach a harness to that. Obviously you could remove it when using the car around town.

I do not. The one set up I have seen was done by one of the local race shops I believe. I wish I would have taken a picture. It was basically a bar that went straight across with a quick disconnect on both sides. Pretty clever. Any race shop that fabricates race safety equipment could do it. Possibly check with Brey Krause.

The rear seats take about 10 minutes to remove. It's just a couple of screws. The rear seats can remain in place even with the bar mounted. They don't need to be removed.

the model number will designate if the bar for a cab or coupe, cab bars are shorter in height.
