997 Aluminum-Look Interior Pieces
Anthinino, here are a few photos of the Interior of the 997 with the Aluminum-look pieces I'm looking to replace with either black leather or Makassar wood. I've already changed the door spears (pieces behind the handle used to open the door from the inside) with regular black ones that came out of my 997 when I changed mine to Carbon Fiber, but if you have leather versions of these, will swap them again for those, as they'd look nicer.
Many people consider the Door Spears single use pieces, but they don't have to be. If removed properly (by carefully heating up the factory welds and prying away the sections of the door spear as you go) they can be removed with enough of the attachment points left where they can be reattached with small screws. I've included a photo of the back of my door panel that shows this and the one screw that's circled in red is the only one that actually has to be remelted / rewelded as the inner door handle pivot mechanism attaches here and there is not enough room for a screw (learned this after taking the photo), but the melting & rewelding is easily accomplished with a soldering iron - I've done 2 sets of door panels now without any issues and the screw attaching method actually lets you control the amount of tension on the door spear to make it fit perfectly with the door panel.

The pieces I'm looking to replace are:
- the long vertical inner door handles - the driver's side one has some scratching from the previous owner's ring or something.
- The door storage compartment flip-up lids / armrests
- the small trim piece in-front of the flip up compartment lid
- the complete center tunnel
- Cup-holder area - either the 3 trim pieces to mount on my existing cupholder assembly or the complete assembly with the pieces already attached and I'd swap you for my complete assembly.
- if you have others like the glovebox handle, air vent sides, etc I'd be interested in those too, but they're not at critical since most cars have these in silver anyway.

I have leather wrapped door pulls and door compartments, along with the front trim piece. They are factory leather with gray stitching. I was going to re-do them in Alcantara, but silver works as well for me.
Do you have any close-ups of the scratches to your driver handle?
I am in the process of removing them now. If your potential trade with anthinino doesn't work out, I would also be interested.

Petza914 you can go ahead and deal with amok, after seeing the aluminum I have to admit I prefer the black leather in my car. If your deal with amok doesn't work out here is a list of Porsche recycler's emails that may have what you are looking for. You can also use the domain urls to go to their websites:

997 Aluminum-Look Interior Pieces
Amok, attached are additional photos of the Center Tunnel, Drivers door pieces (I also have the door spears that have already been removed), and the scratches on the driver's door handle.
Let me know which pieces you're interested in swapping. Thanks.

I've purchased a Makassar center tunnel already, so it's just the door pieces I'm looking for now. Long handles, compartment covers, small piece in-front of the compartment covers - cupholder assembly too if in leather. I'd go $200 for the lot. Let me know. Thanks.

Still looking for Macassar Wood Pieces
Bump - still looking for some of these interior trim pieces in Macassar Wood (this is the dark one, not the Sycamore lighter one).
Pete
- Long vertical door handle,
- Door compartment covers,
- Small piece in-front of the door compartment covers,
- Door spears (pieces with the window switches behind the interior door handles). It doesn't matter if these are used an have been removed from an existing door panel - I can make them work,
- any air vents,
- cup holder assembly,
- and the rear center tunnel extension from a coupe (this is the small section that connects the center tunnel to the rear seat - it's only on the Coupes.) It has a small open rectangular compartment and is the little piece right behind the flip-open center console lid.

Any of the pieces I've listed as needing, once found, will free up those same pieces in the Aluminum look silver, including full center tunnel with ashtray and rear extension, vertical door handles, door compartment covers and the little piece in front of them, door spears, cupholders, etc. I'm probably going to list them all together as a full Aluminum look interior package. The doors I may put back together and sell complete door cards with either full black leather or black leather and alcantara, depending on what I reinstall back into my cars. If you're interested in the silver pieces, let me know and I can send you a note when I have them all together, but that won't be for a couple of weeks.

Still need a Dark Wood / Macassar or black leather rear center tunnel extension piece if anyone has one. Would also be interested in Macassar Trim Pieces for the cup-holder assembly. Thanks.
