Fellas,
The jabs and ribbing are really unnecessary. There's good info in this thread. It would be a shame to start editing and deleting to keep it on track.

turbo's and high school rivalries?

Just for perspective, your car is probably as fast and capable as
most super cars that cost 300k. A 996TT with a GOOD 16 billet
and suspension setup can out perform a 250k GT2RS.
And then there's context. A stock GT3RS will annihilate every 1000 hp+
car on this forum on the track. Conversely a 16 billet car will spank a
GT3 red light to red light or highway.
and even Eddie Bello will lose going toe to toe with some Evo and Supras
that cost 1/4 what he's spent lol.
But 911s are very hard to beat on the track

Like Scott said, this forum is for information... Correct information.. Every time I see misinformation I say something to correct it. So lets correct you on your knowledge of trans that you spent one week (if that much) time researching. You can go further and do your homework about the shop I was partners in. I am not at the liberty to talk about it, but you are higher then I on the evolutionary scale so I will let you figure that out..
misunderstood something or just have plain wrong info. I am very
green in regards to modifying 996 and 997 turbos. I can show you
a half dozen post where I was wrong about something and someone
clarified or otherwise pointed out the facts. Most recently, the 997.1
engine and its origins.
But when you are belittling and supremely authoritarian, I like most
people, become defensive and nothing gets accomplished.
To be very clear about all of this; I want to learn. I am very teachable
and furthermore I'm not mechanically inclined.
You know more then I do about the mechanical nature of these cars.
I tend to listen to you until you become insulting and degrading.

Anyone and Everyone car talk about Other cars being capable ,Other cars being better and can be bench racers.
Its what some one has of their own, their capabilities of driving and have it ready to run to back up their own words of what they can do with theirs that counts to me..
I am Sorry but I have not seen any lap times , competition back to back or road racing records to confirm what the best turbo is here with all this road race track talk...ONLY a straight line time record which is what was said as not what Porsches are for??
I hate to say it,,I think this is really getting old and repetitive...But that just my opinion here... Its all good

btw, speaking of straight line what is your 60-130 mph with the 18G setup?

If so,,that's Poor from you..
I am sorry I don't have the claim to fame in that area, nor do I care Because I can take full advantage of my proven power in a straight line race using all the gears coming off the line..

Sorry ,,I didn't see the Agreed comment until I posted..
Maybe it wasn't a jab?

Probably because they are not marketed like the 3071 or 3076. My thought is that Tial didn't want to market a turbo that would outperform their 3071 with a negligible spool increase. The 3073 could be a replacement for the 3071 or 3076. They offer the small, medium, large setup (a28, a3071, a3076) respectively... just spit balling.
