A3076 vs. A28 vs. K16G vs. K24 Dyno Overlay
layinback shared his a28 dyno and his k16g dynos with me and the others i had from my car.
I will list the graphs from top to bottom (highest to lwoest)
-A3076, 28psi, E85, Tony@EPL tuned, X-Pipe (before i trashed it)
-A28, 24psi, MS109, Markski Tuned, X-Pipe
-K16G, 22psi, MS109, Markski Tuned, Exhaust
-OEM K24, 15psi, 93oct, FVD Tuned, Cargraphic Exhaust
A3076 aren't spoolin that slow. Are they really BIG turbos if they spool faster then stock?
Enjoy..
dip at the end was a 044 going bad on my car.

The 3076s spool amazingly fast. The power curb looks peaky on the 76s.
The 28s and 16gs appear to have a much smoother delivery.
The 76s lend themselves to a flat out acceleration and the 28s & 16s
looks more like a "race car" power band.
The 24s look out of place lol! There's just no comparing them with the
rest of the lineup.
Thanks for doing this prodigy.

awesome info !what's the supporting mods on all does setup ?
#6
The a28 setup is in my sig.
The K16g car was AP exhaust/headers Markski 3.5 ic's, AP Y pipe, 60lb inj, greddy ebc
and Markski tune
Not sure about Prodigys setup

wish there was a 3071 graph to compare all these with

That FVD tune on those K24's looks a little shaky. It's a lesser Turbo, but the fact that the others have Markski's and EPL tunes is a definite advantage.
#9
Plus the 24's were ran @15psi & 93 oct. the others were 22-28 psi using ms 109 or e-85. Apples-Oranges.
#10
Their is alot to be said about each ones mods, fuel and boost used?
#11
Was thinking the same thing.
I am looking to do 3076's next, so what I am about to comment is NOT a slight towards them. I actually hope that the 3076's spool better then my K16BILLET as that would be the best of both worlds and a dream come true!!
The simple fact of the 3076 car using E85 can add much more timing down low to help spool them vs even 109 on the 28's and 16BILLETS. Also using the inlet hoses are great, but have a gut feeling they are not better then the 3076's with out any inlet, again helping in spool.
How is the duty for the boost ramp up (ie for traction issue / torque hit)different.
I hope for more comparisons in this community as in others ( ie Supra Forums), being knowledge does bring power!
Thanks

The K16 hybrid set up had cats on a AP exhaust and OEM intake to turbos... the A28s had intake piping done and a combo 3" and 2.5" catless exhaust... not full 3".....
so there are still differences in between the lines...

I suppose it would be fairly time consuming and expensive to do a true apples to apples comparison across 4 different setups on the same car.
In the Supra community this is generally done by a shop sponsoring the comparison, and a member providing a good 'representative' sample car. Then, on the same day and same dyno, these kinds of comparisons have been done. They are a great service to the community and largely referenced for months and years to come...would be nice if a vendor could step up and arrange something similar in the Porsche community too.
