Two questions:
A) I am assuming that they are for "plain" rims, meaning no spacers
B) If the answer above is yes, are they long enough for 5 mm spacers?

Actually they are extended.
I ran 15mm and 20mm spacers with these.
Had perfect amount of threading.

this picture is with 20mm spacers.

Thanks, that wiould mean that with my 5 mm spacers the thread would stick 15 mm out?
I think that's too much

Depending of your wheel design the threading wont stick out of the wheel and wouldnt be noticeable. Having extra threads wouldn't do any harm.
As you can see from my wheel if there was excess thread you wouldn't even be able to see it.
