Turbo Twist Wheels+ Tires
Part #: 996.362.136.01, 996.362.142.10
Product Link: https://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin...996.362.136.01
Description: FS: 996/997 Wide-body Turbo Twist Wheels + Michelin Pilot Sports
A very nice set of polished 996TT Turbo Twist Wheels. These have some unique advantages over painted or chromed wheels:
• The polished wheels have some extra contrast vs. boring silver, but are not overly shiny like chrome-plated. It's kind of a "matte shine."
• Brake dust just kind of blends in
• These are very easy to maintain. I machine-polished them when I first got them ~ 10 years ago, and have maybe touched them up once or twice over the years. They don't require any more care than painted wheels. The one and only thing to remember is NOT to use any of the el-cheapo strong acid wheel cleaners.
• The nicest thing is that they are super-easy to repair if you get a scratch or a little curb rash. The refinishing process is the same as any other wheel with wet-sanding, etc., but when you are done you just polish the up the repair area and you're done. No repainting/re-plating necessary!

The wheels are all round and true with no cracks. They come with Porsche-crest center caps and Porsche-logo valve caps. Comes with 4 good Michelin Pilot Sport tires in Stock sizes P225-40ZR18 front and P295-30ZR18 rear. The front tires have about 3K miles on them and the rear tires about 6K.
Retail: $6,450
Sale Price: $1,500 $1,250

Interested in the exhaust tips. Can’t tell, is the face still chrome/silver and everything else black?

I'd take the tires, filters and delvac oil, but I'm in 13027. Shipping the tires shouldn't be too bad, don't even need a box... pm me if you want to make a deal

The picture does make it look a little shiny, but it is matte black all over. The only place where the you can see a bit of the under finish is where there is one scratched area in the photo. I had these on and off several times changing to "Laguna Pipes" and was always super careful to not mar the finish getting them on an d off (using painters tape to line the exhaust cutouts works pretty well). The one time I paid someone else to do it, they came back with the scratch .

Couple folks interested in the tires. I'll figure out shipping and let ya'll know approx cost. I assume the extra freebie 1/2 used tire would not be worth it to ship. It's got a Manf date of late 2013 I believe.

Yes, I neglected to mention in the post that the exhaust comes with adapters for stock tips (this is $325 option from Speedtech), so you can swap the 3” dual and stock/other 2.5” tips. The stock is quite a bit quieter. The 3” duals looked great but were pushing my personal sound limits. This was on an x50 with K24s, which are quite a bit louder than the normal turbos.

For anyone interested in just the tips, I'm going to give first preference on those to whomever takes the exhaust, so apologies in advance that I won't sell the tips by themselves just yet.

Hello,

If you ever decide to ship the polished wheels I am interested. I recently purchased CharlieBoats 2004 996 turbo and the HRE wheels that come with the car would get destroyed on these Alaska roads (the wife's E63 and my S5 both have HREs and all the gravel they put down for the snow is awful on nice wheels). I have an acquaintance on the Audizine forums who has a business account with FedEx who could help with the hassle of shipping. Thanks.
