i am going to sell my 9ff Variotune switchable sport exhaust.. . i paid $7,000.00 for it and will sell it for $4,000. .. it is a GREAT exhaust, especially when you consider the HP gains and the fact that it can be switched from loud to quiet... the only way to go..
.
i have used it for two years and has approx. 5000 miles on it..

yep, the 996 Twin Turbo is too slow, even with an exhaust and ecu remap..

wanted a fast, luxury convertible.. the MB is WAY more bang for your buck than a Porsche.. way more..

I hear ya about the topless bit though, I've come to the same conclusion myself. Watching for the right SL55.

I drove around with the wife and baby plus some bags inside the cabin yesterday.. the rain was hard and it likely is safer with the AWD. Try that in the SL55. The car is more capable on the track than the 4000+ lbs, much more computer-intrusive SL55.
Just thought I'd point that out.. not knocking the SL55.. it's a great car. But definitely NOT more all purpose than a 996 Turbo.

In response to performance and fitment questions of what the exhaust is all about, feel free to contact Sol at Perfect Power.. http://www.perfectpowerinc.com/

He owns a Porsche RACE shop near Chicago... and fully knows the capabilities of this 9ff exhaust.. he sold it to me, installed it and uninstalled it. .. he is meticulous and only sells the best..
