Brand New RUF 997 bumper

helping out a friend who decided to pass on his RUF bumper. i hope i dont end up buying this...
It list for $3499 from RUF Dallas. Plus $200 shipping.

He is asking $3295 for it, plus $140 for shipping.
He has also paid for 10hours of work to make it ready for paint, so that is how he is rationalizing the asking price.
it includes tons of little pieces like the grills, vent inlet etc and i can send more pics if anyone is interested.
Question, did anyone else who installed the RUF bumper feel it was a direct fit or did it need some tweaking?

aaron, he lives in LA too.
The RUF bumper should be made of polyurethane like the oem ones.
the old techart stuff used to be fiberglass, but i am pretty sure most of the tuners are using polyurethane now.

What car is this for? Turbo? Direct fit?

There is a post in the picture thread that talks about needing custom fiberglass ducting for a Ruf bumper.

Is this one maybe a newer version which bolts directly to the Turbo?

Send me a PM with your friend's phone #. I'm in LA.

blackbear, the turbo and NA have different lights in the bumper so i would imagine that changing out the lights would be the biggest issue, i think stephen at imagine, and evo were the first to put the gt3 bumpers on the turbo, they put the led's in the NA 997 housing. and i have seen someone put the RUF bumper on the turbo.
it would be a bit of work but definitely possible. the car in the pic is not a turbo.
i pm'd you his contact info

hmm. why did it require 10 hours of prep work. i would expect it to be a perfect fit when you pay that much. This is def. a beautiful bumper no doubt.
