Bentley Continental GT brake squeal

Anyone had a squeal they were able to have fixed? It just started as I was on a 30 minutes drive through town just now

I did some fast and hard stops where I could, but that hasn't improved it. Thought I would get some opinions here before I book it into the dealer tomorrow.

Never had that problem, yet it can happen to most cars. Usual fix is to remove pad, add anti-squeal 'grease' on back (non-pad/rotor side), reinstall pads. Other situation could be that it is simply time to replace pads if they are seriously worn.

It's been years since I had something like this, and only on early German cars.

The gunk fix often doesn't work, so I've booked in and we'll see what the Service dept can do.

Is there a pad wear symbol on the dash I wonder? Can't see any sign of that in the manual or on the net anywhere.

There are pad wear indicator wires, it must alert something.

My Porsche Carrera brakes just started to squeal in the last month. I put new rotors and pads on last January and no problem till now. I think the weather has something to do with this. I have been checking forums and EVERYONE suffers the same issue.

The weather varies all round the world you know! I'm 7,000 miles from you.

However took it out again yesterday and the squeal had completely gone with no altering, cleaning, praying or cursing involved. Who knows why!

We've all heard of the 'Tooth Fairy', right? Well, maybe there is a Bentley Fairy that late at night comes around magically making sure our cars operate at 100% Perhaps this is why so few of us ever have any problems with these exotic cars, especially as compared to other exotics.

The Bentley Fairy would have a problem getting past my alarm and CCTV in the garage Steven

My son - a high-flyin' exec in Toyota - tells me that some of their cars have pads with a built-in squeal to show when they need replacing. Clever. I thought this might be the case with Bentley, but when it went away I had to think again.

My brakes make ugly noises since heavy braking today. Does not go away for long when braking, comes back really quick.
We will look at the pads tomorrow. From outside they look still thick, but who knows...
