HRE wheel problem! please help

Hello,
I purchased a set of HRE 945R wheels to put on my CGT
The wheels I was told were made fitted for the bentley gt, but when I took them to get installed at a shop I was told they would not fit

What is your guys opinion? I think this guy must be mistaken..

20 inch wheels
The Bolt pattern is 5 x 112
9.5 x 20, offset 36mm
center bore is 57.1

Did they take a stock wheel off and actually try to put one of the HRE's on? Who is "this guy" you are referring to? The tire shop man?

Saying a wheel will not fit is not proof for me I'd have to actually try it on and see it does NOT fit the studs. I was given a spare wheel for a trailer once and was told it would work. When I tried it on the studs did not line up with the holes. There was no dispute at that point.

I'd call HRE directly and make things clear and get their opinion, but tighten the nuts will be the bottom line. Good luck.

Did you buy the wheels from a HRE dealer? All of my HRE wheels in the past were ordered for my specific car and were always spot on. HRE will stand behind their product. I recently bought non-HRE wheels and I wish now that I would have stayed with what works, namely HRE.

I'm not sure actually.. When I took it to the first shop I think they were paranoid to work on the Bentley.. Also I think the mechanic might have had a problem when he noticed the offset was greater on the new wheels and he didn't wanna be liable for anything if something went wrong
