Speed limiter set to a minimum of 100mph. You're obviously living life in the fast lane these days!

I have a steep driveway with a sharp bump that doesn't take saloon cars, and I always use the undercarriage height function. Then I put it down to make it look pretty for garage viewing.

I've seen some protectors - not for CGTs, but they seem to work on the wear-away principle, and it's not the driveway!

First I mislead enjoythemusic and now you kensilver. This has eroded my self-esteem to a new low. The dings, scrapes, and loss of my front license plate of last weekend and now this. The previous new low to my self-esteem was when I took delivery of my GTC and discovered, due to the Naim system, that I had lost my ski hole.

In my defense, I have only been a Bentley owner for 9 months and therefore I am not use to being "above rank and privilege". One more chance, please?

Hmmm... i dunno there Mister.

Ya see, in these here parts what we got here is a tightly-knit community of Bentley enthusiasts. If we let you in now bro', then who else will we have to allow to join us tomorrow, or the next day?

Then again any club that would accept me as a member...

Well, ok, sure, you get another chance...

...ski hole or not.

Grwisher, your rapier-sharp sparkling wit didn't fool us for a second. We had the true measure of your worth and instantly sized you up at your first sentence 9 months ago.

The only salvation is to give us more verbal abuse The Bentley Way.

And no - you didn't fool me either, my undecided emoticon moment was also a clever ploy... a counter-foil to your counterfoil. See, it all works out!

Wedgeduck is infamous around these parts
Grwisher is definitely putting miles on his new GTC. Alot of scrapes and dings for a fresh ride. At least you are enjoy your new toy. Mine will be out of the paint shop this week. She has been at the cosmetic surgeon for three and a half month. I will post a few pics for you guys. After that, she will be at SEMA 2012. Bespoke, that's what what i am talking about. I didn't have enough time to send her for her performance package in TeXas. Sorry, Grwisher, got to get ready for a show, so lots of more work to be done.

Well I did miss quite a bit being away for the long weekend.

First of all the Disaster name is taken and it''ll take a bit more than a scratch to bump me off the top.

Instead of the curb feelers just avoid the parking lot labeled "Demolition Derby" and that should keep more of the car attached to the car. Every road is not a track.

I understand your shame after all you bought a super car and your trashing rather quickly. Slow down and space out the damage instead of having all your fun in the first year. I'm really helping right? You know i love ya and respect ya so relax and take your ribbing like a man.

You are not alone and i have several new marks. I went over some awful road/sidewalk hump going into a bank the other dar and scraped the underside right smart. I spouted a few profane words which I am not proud of but the whole thing scared the sh-t outa me. When I came out there was liquid on the pavement and I panicked. Thankfully it was only water from the a/c.

After giving the brother-in-law a ride i thought something was wrong with the tires. They smelled like rubber that was on fire. Guess it was just all those corners and speed.

Problem solved.

The ding has been fixed beautifully for only $175. I think that is a bargain. While I am not happy that I dinged the AppleB's wheel, I now know it is not the end of the world like I thought when it happened.

The Bentley dealer coordinated the effort with Houston Wheel Repair when I had the 1,000 mile service in Houston last week. I had some contact with the wheel people and they were very helpful and responsive. I feel compelled to compliment my dealer, Post Oak Motors, for my experiences with them. Throughout the organization, from sales, service, parts, etc. the individuals are professional and friendly. I can recommend them highly.

That is a very fair price. Did the paint work match the other wheels well. I had one of our challenge wheels repaired and they gents that did the work had a very hard time matching the paint.

The color matches amazingly well.

I think the wheel company is franchised in the U.S. and at least this location is the one that Bentley uses on a regular basis. Therefore they probably got the paint directly from Bentley and that may explain the good work. In many cases, the wheel repair person fixes the wheels on site at the Bentley dealer. This was not the case for my ding and therefore my wheel had to be taken to their shop. Their goal is to give a 24 hour turn around.

What made this ding challenging was that this Bentley wheel style (Ultimate) has polished ribs with the rest being painted. My ding straddled both the polished and painted parts and was too deep to do on site. They had to fill the gouge by welding it. Then polish the rib part and paint the rest. If you feel the painted part there is a small section, on one side, where it is not perfectly smooth. However, you can't see it. Therefore the job is great unless you are one of those rare individuals that goes around feeling your wheels all of the time. I think I may have just revealed too much about myself, again.

Welded!!! That is extreme fixing indeed.

But it's worth it... the Bentley wheels are truly works of art.
