What do you guys think about the new BMW HUD Display units? Those things are nifty. You have night vision. It warns of pedestrians ahead. I wonder how come Bentley or AMs don't do this. Bimmers cost less.

 

It can be annoying for sure. Too much going on on the windshield. A pilot would love it.

 

Im sure you could turn it off but the night vision would be great for dark country B roads in UK. Bank robbers would also make for a fast getaway with headlights off and speeding away into the darkness.

Cheap HUD are those Japanese units for rpm, speed and others but u need to stick that nasty film on your windscreen for it to work properly. I recall the Nissan Bluebird came with some sort of HUD back in 1995.

I would love a HUD for radar detector...bit like those that are installed in rear view mirror.
