Wrecked my GTC, trade in value

2007 GTC, 30k miles, I paid 120k for the car *(no insurance). Bentley dealership here in San Diego is telling me it looks like 120k in damage and that the car is totaled out, I didnt think it looked that bad, so Im having it towed to a mechanic referred to me by a friend to get a second opinion.

If it really is 120k in damage and the car is totaled out, what kind of offer do you think I can expect from the dealership for the car. I would just use whatever they offer me towards a new Bentley. Anyone care to speculate on what I should ask for it or what I can expect for an offer or are they even going to offer anything for it at all and Im going to be stuck parting it out?

Why would you sell it to the dealership if insurance is going to give you the full value from being totaled?

Check ebay uk, you can ship a skid of parts over 1 shot
Prices there are really cheap for gt stuff from what I seen

A private shop with a good link on parts will ****** that up and fix it

120k is insane but then again it is the dealer. If its just the corner damage I highly doubt it will cost 120k to fix by a reputable garage.

Parts are cheaper on eBay and u might as well upgrade to led headlights. Ask around for repair costs and hell even shipping it to another state for repairs will be cheaper than 120k.

$120K to fix that??????? And that was the total purchase price of the car?????? TOTAL BS!

I never realized that the whole value of a car was in the front quarter panel alone. Something is not right here.

DO NOT trade it to the dealer wrecked!!!! They will give you nothing for it. You get the most selling privately, if you decide to sell email pics and ill make you an offer. I have most of the parts to fix anyways

Yeah I figured it was just because it was the dealer. I'm hoping to get an estimate in from the shop today. I know that something is wrong with the front suspension as it was basically sitting on the ground in the front, but I did jump the curb. There is damage to both rims and both fenders. I hit a small sapling with I cut in half that did the damage in the photo, I then hit a speed limit sign which did the damage on the passenger side (it is considerably less).

There was no insurance claim as there was not another vehicle involved (I swerved to miss a pedestrian in the road).

I will definitely shoot you an email if we decided to sell turbosonoma, I will take some pics, and send you the estimate from the dealership.

ebay the car, you will get the most $$ out of it.

parts are not that much, you can buy a8 and phaeton suspension parts for 1/10 of the price of bentley parts.

i just ordered upper control arms from phaeton, way cheaper then bentley dealer. the dealer is a total joke.

I believe he mentioned there was no insurance claim possibly due to the circumstances. Does not mean the car was not insured.

Unbelievable that you were quoted $120k in damage for seemingly only moderate damage. I would be curious to know (as I am sure quite a few others here would be too) how much of that would be for parts and how much would be for labor?
