I currently own a Bentley GT, X5, E92 M3 and E46 M3. My E46 M3 is over the top (one of the fastest in the world) and I love having conversations with people about it at gas stations/etc as its usually enthusiasts. The people that come up to me when I'm in the Bentley are usually not enthusiasts, they just know its an expensive car. I find it awkward coming out of a restaurant only to have a few people standing by the car, often times taking pictures with it, etc. I then pretend its not mine until they go away. I feel pretentious in the car, as much as I love driving it I usually opt to drive one of the other cars simply because of that. If I was to purchase another car in that price range I would probably opt for a Aston Martin. I had a deposit on the Tesla S but canceled it after I sat in the demo car and the carpet peeled up, the stitching broke on the seat and the sparseness of the interior turned me off. I'm hoping the quality increases in their next go around as I was very excited about that car.

I'm named after a football player.. which wouldn't be so bad if the football player in question wasn't a big black guy and I wasn't a short skinny white guy. That said I'm pretty sure everyone thinks I must have invented some stupid iPhone app being I'm in Silicon Valley and drive a Bentley while wearing sweatpants and a hoodie.

I doubt I'll be mistaken as a footballer either. I am a dentist and I heard one reviewer remark about this car being driven by your dentist and i do not believe he was being complementary of the car or the profession.
Marcus22 I am not sure the AM would fly under the radar any better than the GT.

I came across this thread and have asked this question, myself. I went from a 2001 Audi TT --> 2003 996 cabrio ---> 1997993TT ---> 2012 Vantage V8V S ---> 2012 R8 5.2. My CLS550 is the daily driver. If all goes well, my wife will be driving the CLS and I will be driving the CGT. Where to next? I guess stick with Bentley or Rolls - the Wraith should be amazing, the steering wheels on the other models would annoy me being that they're relatively thin (I get it, it's a Rolls thing). As a previous Aston owner I can honestly say that the interior doesn't hold a candle to the CGT Mulliner I'm looking at. So at 42 years old, I've pretty much hit the top tier of car buying. It will be tough to revert back to other brands.
Nice to meet you, Dr. Disaster - I'm a pediatric dentist in NJ.

Nice to meet you also. Just a general dds here in east tn and I hate to say I started at the top. I went from a Ford F250 to GCT. Still got the Ford but after getting the Bentley I knew I was screwed, if you get my drift. It would be tough to revert to other brand for sure.
Now if i kept the B and wanted to add a more sporty track car that would be another matter entirely. I would not expect a Ferrari, or any such other car in class to be dolled up like Bentley.

My feelings exactly. Had the GT and was looking for a convertible, as a second car, and gave up and traded-in the GT for a newer/lower miles GTC. Glad I did. Like you said, the problem is reverting back to cars with many plastic bits, lower build quality, an interior design that looks fragmented, etc. Unlike others here with many cars in their stable (have had 4 @ one time), there is only one vehicle here and we get snow by the meter!
