Hi, my CGT has clocked 37,000 km, is it due for an ATF change?

Besides, mechanic recommended the same ATF as Audi (ZF 6HP26 and ZF8HP26) , is it compatible?

Thanks

I recall them saying it is lifetime fill on the ATF, meaning it never really needs changing. On all NEW vehicles I usually have the ATF changed out after ~500 miles just to remove any metal mating debris. Then again I believe fluids are literally the life-blood of a car so tend to be more retentive and change more often than others... plus have done used oil/fluid analysis @ labs too.

we used to change the trans fluid on the 6 year service,it was just a drain and refill,no filter.if you check in aetis and look at schedule i believe it was the 6 year/60,000 mile service .

Steven,
Do you have a structured timetable for your early/frequent changes? What do you consider the most important?

Ken, everything is important on a NEW vehicle fluid-wise imho. Again, I tend to retentive so oil/filter, atf, brake and coolant change after 500 to 1000 miles in NEW vehicle. After that just normal service under normal driving conditions. Oil would be 'most important' naturally.......

Though technically of all the fluids in the vehicle IMHO the brake fluid is perhaps the most important as without working brakes things can get interesting fast. But brake fluid just needs normal interval changing when they do the pads. Bentley's yearly service is excellent and so I'd just go with that after the NEW car fluids change regiment. These really are solid cars and the B always seems to impress me sun, rain and snow. This is why it was so hard to add another car, such as a SLK as a convertible and keeping the GT, and so just traded in the GT for a GTC instead. Glad I did too as the GTC top down saved my sanity due to harsh airport travelling last week (seriously).

FYI: In the Ferrari I changed oil after every other track event.

OK, just thought you had extra service intermissions, but of course as we know, factory knows best!

Ken, the Bentley factory folks really do great in a smart way when it comes to service. I especially like how they come to (and from) my home 90 minutes away (for free) to pick up/deliver her during normal service. THIS is how an exotic car company should treat their customers. Wish more automobile manufacturers were as customer satisfaction oriented.

When I had mine serviced at Bentley Knutsford, they kindly dropped me and the girls off in the village. After the service they phoned to say that a car would be on it's way to pick us up.
This is what arrived to collect us. We were well impressed.

What's a franchised dealer service costing in the UK?

I'm envious... 90 minutes away! I get treated well with loan cars etc by my dealer, but as for picking it up from me - 7 minutes away - that doesn't happen. They don't have the staff and are not the franchisee either. That probably makes the difference.

The best service I've had anywhere is from Lexus, but you can't buy a car based just on service. It's only a tiny fraction of the car's life (unless you're unlucky).
