'05 Continental GT has small engine warning light that came on while driving but Instruction manual doesn't mention this and I assume it means "Check Engine" . I guess Bentley wants to have you come to their repair facility to tell you what could be wrong. There's no change in running and vitals seem OK. Does anyone know if the warning has a specific problem or do we have to hook up to the shop's computer?

 

The problem is usually related to your exhaust emissions which includes everything from Mass Airflow Sensors to vacuum leaks...from your 02 sensors to your catalytic converters. There are several posts in this forum related to the problem (e.g. see the thread on 02 sensor workaround). Even though your car appears to be running fine, it is best to get a computer diagnostic performed as soon as possible. Once you know the error code(s), you can further identify the cause of the CEL coming on.

 

You can go to your local auto parts shop (we have Autozone) and they will read the code for you and tell you what it means. Some will even tell you likely problems.

did it come on after you put fuel in it,it may be just a loose filler cap but get it checked and come back here with the code.
