05 flying spur no power
On a 2005 flying spur there is an irratic idle around 2000 revs
When throttled will not go past 2000rpm even with foot flat on floor
No warning lights displayed
Any ideas?

Bentley tech i have another problem
04 gt keeps showing injector 10 electrical malfunction in circuit and warning light.illuminates and runs rough
this is an intermitent problem
Ive changed the injector twice both times at fault this time you can activate the injector through guided functions.
Ive checked the wiring several times and ive even ran new new wire from module and seperate feed.
Ive got a good injector which im going to try again make sure it hasnt failed again(maybe the engine is fouling it up but i dont think so)it runs too well when the problem isnt there
my next step was going to be modules
Have you ever come across this?

yep, have had that before, have you checked ecms for moisture, also using wiring diagram carry out a pin drag on the terminals at the ecm, obviously check all wiring and make sure nothing is crimping anything. is it always 10 that gives a fault, before replacing injector switch it and see if code jumps with it and being an 04 switch ecms and see if problem jumps.check especially any splices in the circuit, without the diag in front of me i can't tell you where they are but if you have the disc it will show you.

Thanks for reply
I am actually a rolls royce and bentley mechanic.
We do anything but mainly specialise in the oldet cars -pre war, post war, shadows conti r exetera.
We are doing alot of gt now and starting to get some mulsannes but there is still a few things i come across which catch me out(allways get there in the end tho)
What do you mean when you say pin drag?
If i run seperate wiring that should eliminate a wiring fault, the feed does splice bit then it would show faults across all the bank.
Is it only 04 you can swop modules bank to bank
Once you code a module can you recode it to another car?(im registered for geko)

ok,i have worked on bentleys and rolls for 28 years, done continental series from inception out in the states but moved back here...any way..pin drag means check the connector is not sloppy when the female and male pin meet, when you did overlay did you take it all the way to the pin or splice in,also 04 ecm can be switched without coding, you can do it on 05 as well but 06 onwards it starts to get a bit more sensitive,it can be done but not after 08.at the splice it would not necessary show faults everywhere as each wire could be separated,i have the disc but on a different computer so i would have to look at see where it was spliced

Oh right,do you work on the 's types'
I been on rolls and bentley 8 years now the gt have started really coming in in the last 3/ 4 years
We have to wait for the warranties to run out etc so we still do lots of 04-06
I knoe what you mean by pin drag now i have a terminal on a wire which i use.
I took the wire all the way back to ecu and ran a feed.
So you mean 1 wire could come away from the splice.
I didnt know you could swop module bank to bank.
Can you swop from another car and re code?(out of interest)
thanks for the info info it mskes a change from speaking to some of the other main dealer guys(i.e jack barclay)

you mean the old bentley s1 and s2, i have worked on quite a few of those as well as cloud,p5, shadows ,spirit /spur,cam argue you name it i have probably worked on it. back to you 04gt issue, no need to swap from other car,you can't usually as code burnt in but within the car its fine. try that and see if anything moves from bank to bank.

Im using our vas for the codes
My biggest problem on these cars is ive got no way of understanding what the meaured values mean
Thats why i allways use a scope.
I recently joined the bentley academy so im doing a couple of courses which hopefully will cover mv with any luck.its the only thing i couldnt teach myself
