Apple carplay for Bentley?
If Bentley does get carplay it will be a major upgrade for those with the older infotainment system.
Not too sure now the graphics would look on the screen. Anyone know what the resolution is on the old screen?

I didn't know this until yesterday, but Pioneer seems to be pretty far along in being able to offer a CarPlay device:
Pioneer Working on Aftermarket CarPlay Compatibility
http://www.macrumors.com/2014/03/12/...compatibility/
Introducing NEX, the Networked Entertainment eXperience, the next generation of network connected in-vehicle receivers, combining on-board embedded features with cloud-based connected services.
POWER OF SIRI® Eyes Free
Users of an iPhone® 4s, and iPhone 5, iPhone 5c or iPhone 5s device can take advantage of Siri Eyes Free functionality. With a simple touch of the NEX touchscreen, Siri starts listening through the NEX unit’s external microphone and answers your questions and requests over the vehicle’s speakers, helping you keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.

Am going to 'steal' my own work from a site I've dabbled with for about 15 years (and 6000+ Web pages with the help of over 30 journalists):

Apple just announced their working with leading auto manufacturers to have the company's new CarPlay in-car operating system. CarPlay gives iPhone users an intuitive way to make calls, use Apple Maps, listen to music and access messages with just a word or a touch. Users can control CarPlay from the car's native interface or just push-and-hold the voice control button on the steering wheel to activate Siri without distraction. Vehicles from Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo will premiere CarPlay this week, while additional auto manufacturers bringing CarPlay to their drivers in the future include BMW Group, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai Motor Company, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia Motors, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan Motor Company, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota Motor Corp. "CarPlay has been designed from the ground up to provide drivers with an incredible experience using their iPhone in the car," said Greg Joswiak, Apple's vice president of iPhone and iOS Product Marketing. "iPhone users always want their content at their fingertips and CarPlay lets drivers use their iPhone in the car with minimized distraction. We have an amazing lineup of auto partners rolling out CarPlay, and we’re thrilled it will make its debut this week in Geneva." CarPlay provides drivers access to their music, podcasts, audiobooks and iTunes Radio via physical controls or by asking Siri to pull up what you'd like to hear. Apple's CarPlay system requires the main cable to be connected, thus does not reply on limited bandwidth Bluetooth technology. There is no word about the audio capabilities, thus it is anyone's guess if it will play high resolution music files.

The situation with Bentley is that they are using a system that seems to always be technologically behind the front-runners. Naim Audio, while I am sure would love to support FLAC, DSD, etc, are limited to doing as some of us here do by 'hacking' into the system. What I mean is, Naim can't really add their high quality DAC or other source items, they can only hack in to the system AFTER the fact of processing to then achieve highly desirable sound quality. But the problem still remains that the source files of the music are lackluster, low quality mp3 and wma files that are soooooo circa 2000! The Bentley head unit features are simply lacking in the stock system as compared to others. Hopefully the Bentley factory can find a way to ensure their parent company, the VW Group, supports their virtually top-of-the-line luxury brand. Sure Bentley is enjoying continued double-digit growth, yet perhaps a bit of reinvesting to provide something ALL their customers have to directly interaction with should be put into proper perspective. Seems to me many of us keep complaining about the need for a high quality GUI and user experience with features that are as modern as their other engineering efforts.
JMHO... YMMV
