Average Price to Service YOUR Bentley...
Hey there fellas,
I am starting to do my research into the Bentley world and unfortunately, there isn't much of an active forum anywhere but here...
I had various service questions regarding the CGT and the Flying Spur.
How much are you guys paying for routine oil changes at the dealership? How much are you paying at an indy?
What mileages are the more major services performed and at what cost? Porsche seems to be every other oil change you seem to get something a little more detailed performed.
Any other concerns about maintenance and upkeep is appreciated.

Went in to get the A/C checked out cause it stopped blowing cold, turns out one of the hoses was leaking...$700 dollars. decided to throw in an oil change as well because I haven't serviced it since we bought it from a friend back in october of 2013. Didn't even bother asking for the price because I figured it couldn't be too bad.....$700....for an oil change.... this was at the local bentley dealership. Called another place down south, they wanted $450 and change. Called an independent guy who services only rolls-royce, bentley, ferraris, etc. and he charges $200 for an oil change. Last time I'm ever stepping foot in that dealership.

Any VW place should be able to do a simple oil change for around $150 or so as the GT/GTC/etc are based on the Phaeton. Dealer servicing for annuals runs from around $1000 to $4000 depending on interval. Of course some things, like certain hose changes due to known build/parts defects, can mean an engine out so $4000+ for that. Front bushings tend to go bad due to the cars enormous weight so that's another $1000 every 4 years or so.

For a new GTC bought from the Houston, TX dealer:
1st 1,000 mile service = Included in sales price
1st annual service = Included in sales price
2nd annual service = $1,700
Wheel alignment = 400 <- this was well worth the price
Total = $2,100
If you are going to take a long trip and want the dealer to check over the car, that was $140.

Oil change for me at Bentley in VA is around 450.00 and when I am in florida that price is the same at Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Bentley. I had trunk issues and for them to inspect and find the problem cost me around 500$ and the part and service I needed was another 1200$ I have had a couple annuals as well and they are in the 1k - 3ks. So far for me everything has been priced as expected. I have an indy nearby but i prefer to pay the premium to have bentley do it and have it show up in my records for resale. I know I would prefer to purchase a Bentley that was service at Bentley but to each his own.

I bought used at an independent. They have been doing the service and I am pleased. Paid $250 for Mobil One and a filter. These babies take a lot of oil, 13 quarts i think.
I had the trunk lid fall and not complete the opening cycle and mentioned it when I was at a dealer and he quoted me some thousand dollar figure to replace the whole mechanism, if I recall correctly? The used car dealers mechanic suggested replacing the little gas pistons instead. We did that for a couple hundred and the boot has not fallen even once.
Trust is earned and waste is just that.
If you are buying new and intend to trade, especially at a dealer they will love the service records from in-house so I would say evaluate what kind of a buyer you are and go from there. Overall Bentley is not terribly expensive to own if compared to Ferrari, Lambo, Aston, ect.
