BGT service at Frank Dale Hong Kong
Only recently found out that Frank Dale is now in Hong Kong when I drove passed their showroom/workshop.
I’ve been looking for a good independent workshop having used others which failed to meet my expectations. I am not affiliated with Frank Dale but just want to share my experiences as Bentley owners now have another option here in Hong Kong.
I required my annual oil service so took the plunge to try them out seeing they are well known in UK. Car was collected and checked thoroughly which showed a few issues that required attention. I was impressed how detailed the checks were as previous independent didn’t even come close and even forgot to reset service light. They are not like the dealership where they advise to replace every part that is questionable. Through their experience only parts that require replacement are changed and others are monitored. I don’t think any owner likes to throw money to replace parts that are functional.
I cant comment if previous independent missed these issues or they happened within the year. Found cracks on anti roll bar/drop links, leaking tensioner damper and poor performance from air con after test drive. I will resolve these issues on my next visit pending quotation to replace transmission oil and filter.
All attached photos were taken by the tech showing me progress via whatsapp. The old air filters were questionable as they were falling apart around the edges and you can even see bits of tape near the bypass inlet.
Bill came to $1,487 for 13ltrs Mobil1 engine oil, factory oil/fuel/air filters and wipers plus aircon recharged at 600grams.
Enjoy the photos!
Thanks
J
