2008 continental GT vs Gt Speed

Hi all !! Iam considering moving up into a 2008 continental GT Speed. I have previously owned a GT and a GTC. Is there a massive difference in the GT Speed ie power 600 bhp and handling etc compared to the standard GT and GTC

Saw your post on the other board, imho get a GT and then flash the system as you'll get higher HP/TQ performance than a stock GT Speed . You could also easily improve the air flow by getting a more free-flowing exhaust, which others here have done with great success.

Does Flashing The Car For More Power Wear On Certain Parts More?

Anything you increase like that may also increase wear. Simple physics. No one on any board I watch has said anything negative about flashing. So far no one has had engine or transmission problems with a normal level of flashing (read: not custom flash to max everything to the edge). Commercial software flashes all seem to be fine.

I can guarantee you little wear, just never drive the car.

I figured those increases would cause more noticeable wear and parts on this are not reasonable at all especially suspension and brakes/rotors

Define reasonable? As best i can tell, to some people nothing is 'reasonable' about the costs of a Bentley. How you choose to define reasonable might be your best answer.

Reasonable would be if those parts cost the same as or close to an Audi A8 or The Pheaton or even a BMW 7 series.
I just bought one and I have to have he vacuum lines changed which is requires the engine to come out then I have to get new front brakes and rotors and replace the control arms new main battery. At Audi or VW this would cost about 6k but at Bentley it's about 16k and all the brands new the same parts

Welcome to Bentley ownership. It appears you have a good understanding of the pricing of parts and service. How do you feel about your Bentley experience? Would you recommend one to your family or friends? How do you feel about the build quality? Service? Any other things you'd like to share with us.

I love everything about the GT except the cost of parts and cars like this should come with a 10year 100k warranty but then they would never depreciate enough to create a large resale market lol I mean WHY would a bentley have plastic vacuum lines? Or plastic anything where stronger more durable materials should be? I don't know if I would recommend it to friends or family only because this car makes me feel special and if everyone I know has one it doesn't feel as good which is why I got this and getting rid of my 7 series. Parts and Service costs need to come down to VW levels for out of warranty cars, bentley plastic isn't special plastic.

And the Vacuum lines issue should be a recall item.

I am one of the owners that Steven spoke of that have the pipes and an ECU flash tune. 25'000 miles after no issues. Use a reasonable boost and all should be fine. If more power made the car less stable then the Speed would be a poor choice to buy right?

Where would one obtain a flash that would be useful on a 2008 Speed?
